Owners were both lovely & very welcoming. They have a large dog which was mentioned early on to ask if we were ok with dogs - thought this was very thoughtful. Building itself is attractive & room was modern, clean & spacious. Bed was very comfortable & waterfall shower was amazing! Lots of little extras i.e. homemade shortbread in the room, cake at breakfast (that’s a yes from me).
My picture is the view from the end of the garden where there is a little bench, lovely place to sit & relax.
Breakfast was very tasty & Valerie was very attentive. Vegetarian option for breakfast much appreciated.
Covid wise - clearly lots of thought has been given & I’d really recommend to those who have been shielding or are nervous about being out & about again. Masks on at all times, hand sanitiser available in more than one location, distancing adhered to.
All round it was a great experience & we will be back.
Our room was very comfortable & with a lovely view of the river Leny, breakfast was delicious, but what really makes this such a good place is the care and attention provided by Brian and Valerie. Outstanding!
We experienced friendly hosts, a spacious lounge area, a good sized room with a great shower, a great garden area and good tasty breakfast. The location was great, a 5 minute walk to the town centre and you must try the local chippy.
Booked a little last minute retreat and recieved an upgrade to a bigger room upon arrival the couple who run the house were exceptional making sure all our needs were met and the breakfast was awesome defenitly would will come back.
We booked this last minute. Valerie and Brian were wonderful hosts, offering to grab our bags and make us a pot of tea with cake when we first arrived. The best part of this stay was the breakfast, in a nice lounge area. They had a menu but Valerie personalized everyone's order how you want it while Brian cooked. Valerie also made an amazing raspberry jam that we couldn't get enough of. The room was cozy and clean with an amazing view of the river. The bathroom was clean and refreshed everyday. The location was walking distance to town/restaurants/shops, walking paths, and close to the famous Highland Cows, Lochs, Rivers with Falls, and Castles. Last but not least, their wonderful, loving, funny dog Bertie that you can watch in the garden while eating breakfast.
We will stay here again next time we visit Scotland, but we will stay for a longer time.
