... far out of Ramsey and the beaches along the coast. Spotless throughout, kitchen well equipped and Val kindly left milk, tea, coffee and biscuits for us. Comfortable lounge, bedrooms and bathroom - excellent hot shower! Perfect for us, lovely views over the bride hills and across to the mountains.

My room like the remainder of the B&B, was clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms aren't ensuite but are large and appear to be brand new. I barely heard the working farm at any time of day or night - the only sounds were the wildlife; indeed, a wonderful male pheasant was strutting...

Lovely cottage in great quiet location. 15-20 minute walk into Bride or short car journey. Not too far out of Ramsey and the beaches along the coast. Spotless throughout, kitchen well equipped and Val kindly left milk, tea, coffee and biscuits for us. Comfortable lounge, bedrooms and bathroom - excellent hot shower! Perfect for us, lovely views over the bride hills and across to the mountains.

The house and room is spotless. It is ideally located in the countryside off the beaten track and our hosts were as friendly as can be. The bedroom is large, beautifully decorated and if there is a downside it is that the bathroom is next door (not en-suite) which would normally result in the loss of a rating point from me but it was huge, modern and I couldn't drop a point in this case as everything else was perfect.

Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and we were given a walk around the farm to meet the animals (including new puppies) which was a treat.

My room like the remainder of the B&B, was clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms aren't ensuite but are large and appear to be brand new. I barely heard the working farm at any time of day or night - the only sounds were the wildlife; indeed, a wonderful male pheasant was strutting his stuff in the hedge on the far side of the lawn - not too sure he was attracting the right audience though, as they were heavily pregnant ewes! The breakfast menu is extensive and would please any appetite - and I have one! With no light pollution at night the stars are stunning and the quiet stillness, is simply, refreshing.
Val & Frank were great hosts, who were friendly, helpful and informative and nothing was a bother... I am so pleased that I stayed here and would definitely stay again!! Oh, you might like to check out the cottage available for holiday rental too.

My daughter stayed at Ballachrink Farm for 9 nights whilst she was doing some work experience at the local vets. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay with Val and Frank who made her feel totally at home, including a tour of the farm and watching a calf being born. Val was also kind enough to provide her with a packed lunch and an evening meal! Her room was comfortable, cosy but spacious and after a long day at the vets and all that country air, my daughter said she had never slept better. All in all a lovely experience.

Val and Frank are utterly charming. Having lived their entire lives on the Isle of Man, they were fonts of information and warm hospitality. The farm tour was very enjoyable, especially learning how the sheep and their herd of Angus cattle are raised and marketed.

My room was large and airy, with windows looking toward Snaefell the largest mountain on the island. The bathroom was enormous with a wonderful tub and separate shower. Although I usually don’t eat a lot for breakfast, the whisky marmalade was irresistible and Val's fried eggs were perfectly done. The homemade bonnag was yummy, too.

The peaceful setting will make you feel worlds away from bustling urban life, although Ramsey is only about five minutes away by auto. I was so delighted with everything that I stayed an extra two days.
