The Sport Lodge is a cosy hotel- rooms are bright and clean.
Breakfast room is lovely and the food delicious. Great location, no road noise but close to the ice skating, snow garden, the Wynegg and Bears.
Selfranga Lift is a five minute walk and you can ski all the way down- the Selfranga Hutte is great for lunch/ dinner/ night skiing.
Post skiing hot chocolate and cake was good.
Sauna was relaxing.
Family of five looked after superbly by the charming and helpful Michaela.
Good value stay.
The hotel is slightly outside of the centre of town but not really so much as to make any difference to us during a summer break where skis and boots are not an issue!
This isn't really a full service hotel in that the reception desk is only open for a couple of hours a day, but the rooms are serviced daily and a decent breakfast is served in a light, airy room on the top floor.
The owner/manager Michaela was on hand every morning with tips about the best walks to do and was helpful and friendly.
The room itself was comfortable and we had an extra large balcony - although a deckchair would have been a plus, rather than just two upright plastic chairs. There was a refrigerator and additional sink, as well as a shower (no bath) and sink in the en suite. The TV had no English channels but the wifi was good.
An enjoyable stay.
I traveled here with my daughter, and really enjoyed the stay. We had an amazing view from our room's balcony. The breakfast room upstairs is wonderful. Its a great way to start the day. I wish we could have stayed longer. Its very easy to find and park.
We stayed here only one night unfortunately. We stayed in the Owner is very forthcoming and helpful. The Lodge is very practical and you really get a camp feeling. We stayed in the Familienzimmer Gotschnablick which is great for big families with two showers and plenty of room. Really liked the family room next to the breakfast room which is very inviting. In terms of location it is on the other side of town in terms of getting to the Madrisa side of Klosters, but it only takes a 5min drive anyway.
Despite our trip being fairly short, we were still able to settle into the Sports Lodge, and Klosters itself. Situated 10 minutes from the centre, it is a perfect destination to truly grasp the classic Swiss charm of Klosters. The rooms were clean and cosy with big windows and a balcony. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and good quality. It was held in a spacious ,and light, room at the top of the building. Michaela, the owner, was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When we asked for some restaurant recommendations, she presented us with some wonderful choices and was always able to get us a table. Tidy, classic and very Swiss (!), I highly recommend this hotel for those looking to stay in Klosters.
