It seemed a shame to break the tranquility by starting up a V twin when it was time to leave in the morning. The bike had a safe night in a locked garage. There is garage space for each room. My single room was adequate for a restful sleep and opening the curtains gave great views over the countryside to the village of Berdorf which is about a 10 minute walk away. Twin rooms, some with balconies, have views over the wooded valley where there are many hiking trails. Some trails lead down to the Our River below, but I enjoyed the twisties in the Our and Moselle valleys as I took the short scenic trip in from the German border near Trieste.
Evening meal included in my half board rate was OK and breakfast was also reasonable. Both were served in a dining room with views over countryside and woodland. The peaceful terrace was good for a sunset drink and the wifi was good enough to catch up on emails while sat outside with a beer from the reasonably priced bar.
Everything was clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. All was peaceful and relaxing, until the V twin started in the morning and it was time for another adrenaline rush on the excellent bikers roads nearby.

I had a 3 night stay here on my road trip to Lapland
This is a family run and owned hotel
Great location ,just a ten minute walk into Berdorf itself
I arrived on a Sunday and had time to wonder into town ,the local Sunday market was still on
So grabbed myself a few locally produce
The hotel has more of a B&B feel
Warm , friendly and set overlooking fields in all directions
Car parking is opposite the road in garages ,which is brilliant as they get closed at night so you have total piece of mind
A well laid out , restaurant, lounge and bar area
All seperate so plenty of space to enjoy which ever one you are in
My room was very clean and tidy
The breakfast had a great selection from ,jams/ Nutella to cheese and cold meats selection to scrambled eggs and bacon
Ceral and fruits ,fantastic range
The staff were very friendly and very helpful with answers to some of my questions
The 111 bus service runs right past the hotel, bus stops on both sides to get you to Luxembourg city ,only 4 euros ,the cool thing with Luxembourg this one ticket lasts all day and you can use it on some other routes
I would definitely stay again

Hotel Perekop is located just outside the village of Berndorf, near the border with Germany in the Duchess of Luxembourg.
This time I had a single room, adequate for a short stay.Single rooms are the rear and do not have a balcony.
Everything was clean, good bed. Ample space to store your things, wardrobe had a safe.
The staff was very friendly and professional, speaking various languages.
Breakfast more then adequate and fresh. Possibility to have lunch and dinner, wich I didn´t try. Visitors are formost couples who come to enjoy nature. Excellent WiFi available throughout the premises.
Beautiful forest, cascades and nature. Throughout the region You can follow different trails which lead You through some amazing spots.
All by all a good quality/price relationship.
When visiting this part of Luxembourg I surely will stay here again.

Hotel Perekop was reccomended by ANWB as a good hotel for bikers. Not a typical bikers hotel, but it has garages for every room. I had a single room, small, but big enough for a bed, a desk with a mini, mini bar, a small sofa and a cupboard with safe. Bathroom with toilet and shower also a bit cramped, but reasonably clean. The hotel staff is multl lingual an very nice and helpful. The food is of good quality and very reasonably priced. The hotel is about 2 miles out from the village on the road to Echternach. All in all a good hotel for a short stay. Not many bikers when I was there, mostly pensioners hiking.

Reception staff not helpful and challenging. Wifi poor. Flies everywhere in hotel. Borrowed a fly swat and killed at least 30 in our room. Had to sleep with all windows closed to keep flies out. Flies in dining room settling on food. Dining room girls very pleasant which helped what was otherwise a night to forget. Carpet in our room stained and lifting all around bathroom door. A shame because the motel is in a pretty area and the problems mentioned could be resolved.
