Very simple hotel. Small rooms, no vaccum cleaning the 19 days i lived there, but bed was made and clean towel every day. Good breakfast.
One strange incident happend. I had 2 beds in my room. I had my huge bag on the bed that I was'nt sleep in, like I do when i travel with the large bag, but one day when I came back my bag layed on the floor in the middle of the small room, and the "bag bed" was made up... I wrote on a paper regarding my view of personal privacy in hotels, and after that my bag was left in the second bed.

Very small room, toilet/shower cubicle is like a portaloo and would look out of place at a music festival.
No evening dining facilities, bar closes at 6pm so if you want a drink you use the vending machine.
Single bed was very small and uncomfortable.

Hallo Iain Crawf Thank you for reviewing Hotel Herning. We are of course sad to learn that you were not satisfied with your stay. But all the things you describe as flaws are all things that we inform about on our online booking sites. You booked through booking.com where there is a clear and good description of our hotel. We don’t have any restaurant and haven’t had for many years that is also communicated through our online platforms. The reception and bar is normally open until 6 pm. and that is noted on all our confirmations that we send out. But on the 8th of March when you stayed here the reception was open until 10 pm. I was personally on call. We will of course look into replacing the bed if something is wrong with it, but it is difficult to meet every ones demand when it comes to beds. If you decide give us another try, please book directly through us and not booking.com, since booking.com bookings automatically will be placed in our smaller rooms with our cabin bathroom. We always try to reward the customers who book directly through the hotel, so we don’t pay any commission to external booking agencies. Regards Hotel Herning

I booked this hotel because it was very near to Jyske Bank Boxen were Paul McCartney concert would have been held. I arrived al 9.30 in the morning and I had booked for a 11 o'clock early check in. The staff was so kind to find me a room in spite of I was in advance.
The hotel offers great value for the money. The breakfast was really great and
the bed good enough.

Simple hotel that needs an update in some places; Beds are just O.K. but could be better. You could feel the mattress was nearing it's end. Loose wires in the room do not enhance the quality feeling. And some curtains that actually prevent the light from getting in would be nice as well.
No free wallplug for charging any devices.
The room was clean and the breakfast was adequate. Free wifi was available and fast, shower was warm and a steady temperature.

Dear John Thank you for reviewing our hotel. Every review means a great deal to us. We are at the moment updating some of our room. We have just painted, changes pictures and changed windows in one of our hotel wings. But we know that we are not done yet and hope to take another wing at autumn. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or anything you want to elaborate on.

This hotel is all about location, and the rooms are priced for what they are - a bed <500m from Jyske Bank Boxen.
It feels like an old school colony, and is furnished equally cheap. The rooms are clean, service is good and the breakfast buffet is pretty good.

It's not great value for money as a room in the middle of nowhere, but as a bed and breakfast right next to your concert/whatever venue, it's not too bad.

I'd definitely go there again!
