As two single and related female travellers, we had clearly booked a twin room but were shown into one with only a double bed. On request, a porter brought a fold-down bed and later, on the second request, some bedding - but he had no idea how or where to put sheets on a bed or that a duvet needed some sort of cover.
Breakfast, which we were told started at 7am, had not appeared by 8am and our guide had to chase it up.
There was a ring of black dirt around the tap in the bathroom and a general feeling that the rooms had not been cleaned recently. We began to wonder if this was really a hotel, or a front for something else. Best to avoid it if you value your healthy and general welfare.

Room Tip: Our room looked out onto the front drive and the mountains. It was quite quiet.

We, a family of 4, visited Sonamarg from July 9 to 12, 2015 and stayed at this hotel. We had picked up this hotel based on internet search and booked two rooms directly. We found this hotel to be very good which was not expected in a small place like Sonamarg. The ambience was very appealing, the staff was courteous and helpful, the rooms were clean and cosy. The rooms given to us had a fantastic view of glacier and mountains. The restaurant served us hygienic and well prepared dinner and breakfast, especially the non-vegetarian dishes were very good. The person serving our table was very prompt and attentive. As the rooms were cold in the night, the hotel staff provided us with electric blankets. We had two clear days at Sonamarg and the weather was good. We spent a day visiting Thajiwas Glacier & Baltal and on the second day had an adventurous drive to Zero Point, Drass and
Kargil War Memorial.

However, the check-in process was not very smooth as the Reception Desk could not connect up with the payment already made as advance. One of the room initially given to us had lot of noise coming from kitchen exhaust, but the staff promptly managed to change it. Somehow, the WiFi signal was not strong enough in the rooms to be of any use. I wish that the hotel staff check the amenities in the room thoroughly before the visitors arrive - for example, in one of the rooms the switch of electric kettle had to be kept pressed manually to remain on and in another room, it gave electric shock on touching. Also, the seat cover in one of the washroom was not secured properly. Rates charged by taxi for local sight seeings, although facilitated by the hotel, were exorbitant - may be hotel can help their customers better in this regard.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel and it contributed significantly to the success of our exclusive trip to Sonamarg.

Before going to Sonamarg I was not sure to stay at Sonamarg overnight as this place is isolated on NH 1 (Srinagar- Leh Highway), No mobile network is working except local BSNL and Aircel and no internet but to my surprise I find this class hotel in Sonamarg and decided to stay for one night.

This Hotel is only top hotel in Sonamarg with free high speed WIFI access, and class interior , Room of 5 star quality. With this type of hotel overnight stay at Sonamarg is must.

I highly suggest this hotel to everybody.

If you are planning a trip to sonamarg this is the hotel to stay at. This property made me crazy in the first glance. Beautifully build and Nicely maintained. It has got some very unique views of Sonamarg. The hotel is placed in the lap of mountains facing the Srinagar-Leh Highway. So there is also easy accessibility to the road yet at the same time it is peaceful and the traffic does not disturb it in any way. Beautiful wooden rooms very cozy beds and spacious bathrooms. The Hotel Manager- Reema Singh is extremely helpful and welcoming. She personally looks after every issue and does the best that she can to make our stay enjoyable and luxurious. I would want to thank her for helping us so much and making our stay one beautiful memorable vacation. Food is great ! less options but tasty delicacies. Room service and housekeeping is fine. Over all the place is very lavish and worth spending time at. Scenic location and awesome hotel with very helpful staff !

I visited this hotel in may after my marriage
It was -3degree in the night but we just felt it by view not as such. Beautiful view, cetrally located and simple & awesome food is the usp of this place. They provided us perfect room service. Warm people and well cultured staff are the best add on to this. I got a chance to stay for a day there but wanted to spend more time. It was amazing experience and stay with you.. thanks!!
We would love to visit u again and I will recommend others to opt for the same, if budget allows. :)
