This was our second stay at Ribbonwood Cottages and we enjoyed it just as much as last time. 3 couples.

Brett is very friendly, but not intrusive and he always presents this cottage, Platypus, clean and tidy.. All he asks is that you leave it in the same way.
Our fist day was over 40Deg C and the airconditioning works well in the living area but not so in the bedrooms. Ceiling fans would be a good addition.

Once again the river was a torrent so n o success with the trout, again.

We really enjoyed our visit to Ribbonwood cottages. Our 2 bedroom cottage was very comfortable and it was good having a kitchen and laundry. Brett offered some great tips for places to visit and having easy access to the river for fishing was lovely. Close to town as well which ended up being a bonus when we needed to grab a few groceries. Would definitely visit again.

We had a beautiful weekend away. The Platypus Cottage was nestled on the pristine river and had all the facilities needed for a relaxing break. Brett was great. He is obviously passionate about his farm and his cottages. The room was beautifully maintained and clean. He set up a fire for us beside the river which was a perfect end to a day exploring the region (caves, snow play, cafes....). We'll be back...for longer this time!

Fabulous location only 1 hour to the snow. We stayed in Platypus cottage which has plenty of room for 6 people (3 couples) and ohh the beds..so comfy with electric blankets we all slept well and woke to a beautiful view of the river on one side and cows on the other.
The owner even lit a fire in the afternoon in the paddock and has built benches so visitors can enjoy the river views. Such a great spot to unwind whilst toasting marshmallows.

We have already booked our next trip.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Platypus 3 bedroom Cottage it had everything you could need much better than a hotel room very reasonably priced and not far from town if you want to eat out but felt a world away and the added bonus of being steps away from the long riverfront so we fished, enjoyed walking around the farm seeing the cows, keeping warm by the outside fire we lit it was truly relaxing and peaceful there. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, comfy lounge room with high ceilings, ensuite main bedroom away from other 2 bedrooms and electric blankets what a luxury on a cold night. This cottage was very clean and looked very new and it has privacy from the other cottages. We enjoyed being on the veranda that is the length of the house where we could hear and see the river too. Will be back for longer stay next time for sure with more family/friends. Brett the owner was very helpful and really looks after the place does all the work and us City Slickers get to just enjoy being there.
