Not as good as I expected.
Pros: a cheap, very big, clean and cool pool, saunas, renewed spa center.
Cons: old fashioned rooms, very very poor food, I wouldn’t recommend eating here. Lack of sounds, music. In spa centre, baths, halls silent creats an awkward feeling. Didn’t like it 😄
by the way a lot of kids 😝 that’s why weekend was far from relaxing
I together with my girlfriend spend 3 days. Room was perfect. But food was terrible. First dinner was awful. Breakfast wasn't so bad but food quality is bad. SPA was good enough for us. Swimming pool big and water is warm. Saunas are good too. Massage was quit good.
We haven't stayed in this place, but we had great all body massages there. I really recommend them. Prices are similar in all Druskininkai.
Previous time we were visiting pool and saunas. Experience was also great.
Maybe the place don't look like SPA center, however for me massage quality is much more important.
I felt fall into the Soviet Union 1940 years !!! Like in the movie "Back to the future" .
Everything in russian language, although the sanatorium is in Lithuania. I could not understand that.
Rooms was little bit better.
About the food... hmm.. I dont know what to say, like in concentration camp.I with my wife had incuded meals, but we drove to town to eat. I can recomendate a restourant "the house".
So the best thing was just a pool area with saunas, everything new and modern.
This is a medical sanatorium and looks more like a hospital than a spa center. Staff does not speak English and all the information is given in Russian.
On arrival the hotel staff could not find our reservation. This despite the fact that the booking was made via the hotel's own website and I could display a confirmation from the hotel .
We were eventually given a room by the receptionist and explained that we would be contacted when they found our reservation . After some minutes the receptionist called us and explained that she had given us a room with a higher standard and that this cost extra. I then had to explain and argue that I did not want to pay extra.
I had ordered a package which included all meals and three elective treatments a day. To set up a schedule for the treatments I had to register at an office . When I asked about what treatments they could offer the employee replied that she had already set up a program and that I had to follow this. There was no question about my health and if I had any special requests in connection with the stay .
The treatments that I had been set up was poor : One cup of herbal tea daily, 30 minutes of relaxing music and pool access.
The food was served in the hotel's cafeteria and characterized by mass production. The portions were very small and the food tasted bad. Breakfast was served buffet style, but the selection was very poor. We also had to fill out a complicated form in Russian to order meals for the following days.
The room was fairly large with two balconies. However, room was very worn.
We checked out and canceled the rest of the order after one night. The receptionist explained then that she understood us.
This sanatorium is old-fashioned and operated by Soviet standards. One can find many better hotels at a lower price in Druskininkai.
I will not recommend this sanatorium.
