Hotel Strandly is a nice place. It’s not The Ritz and is quite dated, but it is nicely located in Skagen to walk to everything. You can park your car and enjoy the locality on foot. The breakfast is simple, the rooms plain and 70s... the chairs in the room are beautiful actually, teal and leather and very ‘danish design’.
It’s ok, nothing special, but comfortable.

I know Denmark is expensive but this place is extortionate for what you get
Not very friendly welcome from guy with pony tail
The ground floor room had no air conditioning , furnishings were old eg table with large heat stain leather chairs with worn patches and I would not have dreamt of touching the carpet
Incredibly noisy from rooms above
Breakfast ok and people serving friendly enough
Would not recommend until the owners get their act together

Checked in on a Thursday afternoon at 14.00 and was shown a room on the top floor. The room was clean and very cozy with tea and coffee making facilities plus a fridge which was great. Now the weird bit. As I sit and write this we are the only 2 people in the entire building, including staff. The bar has been closed the whole weekend which us a shame. Breakfast was a let down as well, no cooked or hot food, just bread with cheese, ham and various jams. I won't say don't stay here as it is out of season but when you have guests staying the least you can do is ask if they would like to use the bar, maybe it's totally different during the summer months so what I will say is try this hotel, which has it's plus points and make your own mind up. Hope you like wallpaper with roses on it.

We went to Skagen in the middle of the holiday period in juli. We were just happy to get a room somewhwere in juli. The hotel was well located, close to beach and village. The room was mediocre. It costed about 1265 SEK per night for a double room. But se both liked the breakfast that was included.
