I cannot speak too highly of Veki's village and of the excellent hospitality of the charming and considerate hosts, Veki and David, who could not have been more helpful or welcoming. I very much enjoyed my interesting conversations with them and that the insights that they were able to offer into life in Eswatini.
I was delighted with my tastefully-furnished two-room apartment and simply loved the beautiful views from my balcony of the lush surrounding countryside. The grounds are also gorgeous. It was a perfect location, especially having the use of a car, as the property is located on a hillside five kilometres or so from the centre of Mbabane. The bed was most comfortable, there was plenty of space for hanging clothes and storing items and wi-fi connectivity was generally very good. Everything worked as it should have in the en suite bathroom.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Veki's Village again were I to re-visit wonderful Eswatini and would happily recommend it to friends and fellow travellers. This is truly an exceptional property and staying there was an experience I shall never forget.
The room was quite large and well furnished but the power went out first then came back on later there was no hot water in the room (always a deal breaker for me) the people were very friendly and helpful and did eventually get it going again. Location was very hard to find. Need GPS coordinates.
We booked Veki’s Village in Airbnb but it is a guesthouse with a few units. The location is a 5 km uphill drive from town center but the isolated location is totally worth the drive. The spacious fully equipped room was a comfortable home away from home for our three nights. The host is very friendly and gave us some great tips on sightseeing and dining. I can’t imagine there is a better option in the town center.
An absolute piece of heaven. Most places offer views of the beautiful mountains of Swaziland. Vekis village is situated in those breath taking mountains. Our room opened up to a stunning view. It was super cosy, with a lovely fireplace...heaters and a huge comfy bed. When we arrived we were greeted by the warm and friendly host, Veki. She was the most conciderate and wonderful host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She had seen my husband leave early in the morning for a meeting and realised that i might not have had breakfast, to my utter surprise she sent me a Bowl of fruit and a jar of cereal! The room is filled with similar thoughtful special touches for guests...from ample towels, tea, coffee, and even a warm gown!. If a true feel for Swaziland is what your looking for, there is no place to stay other than Vekis village. From the host ,to the cleaning staff, security, and even the happy friendly dogs running around, this is a little piece of heaven.
Recently had a brilliant break - the hosts made it really special and were wonderful company. The beds are warm and comfortable too but nights can be chilly. The nights are wonderfully quiet to. We needed a break from the big city and after only 3 days it felt as if we'd been away for over a week! The place has a really unique artistic feel about it - the one partner is a well known international artist and you definitely see his creative style throughout! We even got to buy some of his art works yippeeee! Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts from showing us swaziland's own Ayers Rock, waterfalls, places to eat out at, where to buy crafts or to dance the night away. We arrived so stressed out - no problem they arranged for someone to come to our room for a fabulous aromatherapy massage! On the property they have mountain walks to suit anybody! The gardens are wonderful, swimming pool large and sunny, and brilliant sunsets and mountain views. What a charming place. We loved it!
