The hotel located near to Lotte center hanoi, big shopping mall which has a lot branded merchandise, cloth, shoes etc. The hotel is quite old hotel but well manage. The room is spacious and classic style. During Christmas eve has some show and entertainment. Breakfast is not much variation, Pho, bread and some international food. Pool is good and big enough. I don’t have enough time to enjoy fitness center because according to reception the fitness center open from 07.00 am, too late for me. If you like classic type hotel, this hotel might meet your expectation but if not you better select others. Overall this hotel is good

Hotel is roughly 40mins from the airport. Hotel itself is grand, looking majestic from the outside. Staff are welcoming, check-in took less than 5mins. Looking around, most of the hotel patrons were Japanese and Koreans making this quite a popular business hotel.
We stayed at the 11th floor, room is very spacious with the view of the lake. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was complete with necessities and the bathtub is a tad bigger than what you will normally get.
Good spread of breakfast. Plenty of sweet pastries, american breakfast as well as pho. The rooftop bar is nicely done up with a pool table, however it was a bit dull when we were there. Maybe it's due to the fact it was a Tuesday?
What was a let-down was the location. Nothing much to do around the area, except plenty of japanese restaurants and lounges. There is however a Vietnamese restaurants called Highway 4 that has some pretty decent fried rice noodle, and they also serve Vietnamese vodka. Once you get bored of the area the Old Quarters is about 15mins away. Pubs and shopping awaits! Taxi from the Old Quarters was 70k Dong past midnight.
In Summary, this will be a good hotel for families and businessmen. For those wanting a party scene, better head on to a hotel near the Old Quarters!

The hotel stay was very comfortable, rooms are nice and clean,. The pool and surroundings are great and the location makes in most convenient for business stay. The breakfast is grand and wifi works faster than some other hotels. The room service menu needs some improvement but I am sure eating in restaurant would be better.

1. Very nice lobby, well designed 2. I liked the pool and the pool area 3. Very good Taxi service from the hotel
The Average
1. Service quality is far for been well, mostly with the junior staff is not like other hotels I have been staying in Vietnam. The junior staff English, mostly at the Restaurant is not good enough to understand any "unwritten" request vs the menu ( Again, competing with other hotels in Vietnam)
2. The room is big enough but the floor corridors, the room decor and the bath are becoming old.
The poor
1. Poor diversity of food at the Restaurant, mostly at breakfast (Compering to other 5 stars hotels in Vietnam)
Tips: 1. Try to take a lake and or pool view room 2. If you are having dinner, verify about what includes with the Buffet if at all.
Final The Daewoo is an average 5 star hotel in Vietnam.

Booked a deluxe room through Agoda for 02 nights from 22/12/2018 to 24/12/2018, but on arrival the hotel informed us of a promotion for a club room which seemed attractive. This offer included cookies, tea, coffee and nonalchoholic beverages (non fresh juice) through out the day. Further it included snacks, beer or two glasses of wine during happy hour and three numbers laundry per day. Overall we had a very good stay. However, we were not able to use the pool during our stay due to pool side wedding ceramonies. And also club launge was temporarily closed time to time due to private reservations which was not informed to us which tarnished the attractive offer although a restricted arrangements were made in an alternative venue.
