Write a reviewStayed here for two weeks as was close to the Australian Embassy. As other reviewers have said - nice enough but needs major updating to the decor. The bed was comfy and the internet connection was great. The rooms have heavy curtains that block out the light and noise. The bath and shower are fine. Was disappointed by the breakfast - the available items got very old after the third day with the same items everyday. Nothing to complain about - but nothing to rave about either. Doesnt deserve its 5 star rating. More like 3 and a half. Although wished I had stayed in summer because the pool looks amazing.

We stayed at the Daewoo for three nights in July, accompanied by our two children, ages 2 and 3.5. We booked through a Vietnamese travel agent who obtained a rate of $105/night/room, including all taxes and a wonderful buffet breakfast. We were somewhat anxious before we arrived because of two reviews we read on this site, but any concerns were put to rest upon our arrival! This is a fantastic (and clean!) five star hotel, with the best pool, and one of the best fitness facilities I have ever seen at a hotel. The hotel restaurants were also five star caliber, and the service throughout excellent. The rooms were spacious. There is just about nothing negative I can say about this hotel. I highly recommend it, particularly for families with children. You can book adjoining rooms; there's a small play area for young children, and the zoo is a short walk away.

I was invited to a business meeting in the downstairs cafe - the place looks good but it stunk of smoke - a big man was holding court and puffing on a fat cigar - smoke permeated the place and I couldn’t breathe . My daughter was with me and I didn’t want to subject her ..
So i has no choice but to move and sit in the lobby -
Here I was told I can not order a coffee-
When I explained the reason why we had to move and that it seemed wrong that we had to leave the lounge and could not have a drink due to someone else smoking -
I was told I could sit outside by the pool in 38 degree Celsius heat and drink there!
I asked for the manager who informed me that basically it’s hotel policy for smokers to sit freely in the lounge and non smokers to be penalized in this way!!
See we sat in a meeting at the entrance lobby, nasty place.
So i has no choice but to move and sit in the lobby -

The hotel located near to Lotte center hanoi, big shopping mall which has a lot branded merchandise, cloth, shoes etc. The hotel is quite old hotel but well manage. The room is spacious and classic style. During Christmas eve has some show and entertainment. Breakfast is not much variation, Pho, bread and some international food. Pool is good and big enough. I don’t have enough time to enjoy fitness center because according to reception the fitness center open from 07.00 am, too late for me. If you like classic type hotel, this hotel might meet your expectation but if not you better select others. Overall this hotel is good
