Last time i checked out of the torch i had a billi g query. It didnt detract from tbe experience so i didnt mention it here as mistakes happen.
When i checked in there was some fiddling and i was upgraded to a suite.
The standard rooms are awesome but the suites are another world. all the rooms are separate so you can enjoy a bath 2-3 doors away from the lounge and watch tv in either of the two rooms. You get a couple of extra toiletries and a whopping 72sq m of space to mill around in..
Room service was exemplary and bang on the dot. And the concierge was nice enough to drop me off in aspire in a club cart.
I really do find it hard to find fault with the torch in any way. Cant wait till march when i am there for the torch tower run.

It’s such beautiful hotel i like the design of the hotel especially Three Sixty Restaurant in the 47 th floor at the too All the staff are familiar and cheerful especially arnel the concierge he is welcoming and good service provider he is cheerful as well he assisted me to go the restaurant it was really such a marvelous experience!

We were quite dissappointed with the staff attitude , considering that Torch id a 5 star property. The level of customer service should align with the culture of 5 star hotels. Though there are few staff that are helpful like Arnel ( Filipino guy) in the concierge I guess, the staff in the breakfast room ( flying carpet). Otherwise we are not happy with the rest . Torch management should focus on training their staff to be able to attract loyal guests. Dont have plans of coming back there.

I stayed two nights with my wife. Got room in the 12th floor. Here are my pros and cons
Pros
-Aspire park is within walking distance
-Villagio shopping mall is next to the hotel
-Beautiful seating area in the loppy with a good service
-Helpful concierge staff
-Clean room and bathroom
Cons
-Noise from neighbors can be clearly heard
-The security at the gate is exaggerated
-The location is far from lots of popular attractions in Doha (minimum 25mins drive)
-The room view is not clear due to the black net that covers the tower from outside
-The bed pillows are not comfortable at all
Pros

it was my first visit to this hotel, and find it very much comfortable and relaxing.. i entered the hotel and welcome by the concierge and even by the the door man wearing my basketball uniform and a shirt i go straight to the lift went to 21floor were the tea garden was located.i was welcome and guided by one of the waitress to our table..BUT.. by the time i started to look at the menu to order a guy approach me and say that i am not allowed to stay cause i was wearing a short.....i was disapointed because if it was not allowed why they didnt tell me before i enter the tea garden..and even before i enter the hotel..i hope that the staff was informed/brieff well for all the SOP of hotel.
however im still looking forward to visit this hotel again...
