We stayed here for a week. Upon arrival, the caretakers greeted us with a smile and even asked us if we were okay (we looked really stressed because our flight from Korea was delayed and it was already 10 p.m). George was from Africa and the other caretaker was Filipina, whose name I already forgot. We got along easily and our check-in was relatively fast.
This guesthouse is located in Block D of the iconic Chung King Mansion on Nathan Road. It was already late night when we arrived but there were still some people around the area, mostly Indian businessmen offering tourists rooms in their hostels.
The owner, who we corresponded thru email, was also nice, but he was obviously very busy. He asked us how our stay was; we told him that our room's AC unit was leaking and he had it looked at while we were gone.
The room was small. If you're Asian, it's okay and you can move around a little. But if you're a Westerner, good luck. The room has two beds, with a ceiling fan, an AC unit, and a bathroom. The hot water was functioning but we had to wait for 10 minutes before the water became hot. The guesthouse also had Wi-Fi which was fast! They replace the towels, bedsheets and pillowcases whenever they see them dirty. They have basic toiletries such as toothpaste, shampoo and soap. They also have a water heater in the common area as well as a refrigerator.
We spent less than 8000 php (around HKD 1200 for a week's stay). We only stayed here to rest, shower and sleep during the night because we were mostly out during the day, exploring HK.
Overall, if you wanna get value for money, I would recommend this place.
