We booked this hotel almost a year in advance and were delighted to be informed that we had been upgraded to an 'executive room'. Heaven knows what a standard room is like, as we ended up in a grotty little annex which smelt musty and was tucked away in the back of beyond. At least we had a window (even though it was opaque), the other couple in our party didn't even have this luxury and were instead stuck in the basement without any natural light! Cleaning was dubious, the bed was fixed against the wall so access was limited and it was almost impossible to clean it adequately. Tired does not do this place justice, it was more comatose!
I was bitten by ants during the night, despite being on the 4th floor.I rang down to reception in the night but there was no one on duty. The next morning the receptionist was very rude and said we must have brought food into the room...we did not! They would not refund us any money or even say sorry, very unprofessional attitude!
Cosy room and bed for single traveler. The mini fridge and boiler in room is useful for me. Suggest to have some hooks in shower room for towels. Hangers on wall in room is kind of too low. Tv is working well too.
Was expecting a comfortable room as my room was described as 'superior double'. I was very disappointed. Room 312 was very small, standing room only - serious!
My 37cm x 47cm cabin bag was my only luggage and I could not open it anywhere, except on the bed! The dark carpet looked sticky too.
On the reception desk, there is a sign, asking if you'd like to upgrade to a larger room (for a price!). That says it all!
The bed linen did not look or feel clean, felt greasy, so i asked for a clean bedsheet. This at least seemed cleaner.
The bed height was about 85 cm high, far too high for most people. There was no where to hang two towels if needed or clothes.
At least water pressure and temperature was very good. There was tea/coffee making facilities. Location was excellent. Air con was very good.
I'd stay in this area but definitely not at this hotel.
This place is a good budget hotel that is close to the city, food and trinkets places. The customer service here is fantastic. The room we stayed in the first night was super noisy. Wasnt able to sleep the whole night due to mahjong tiles shuffling, beer bottles clanking, laughter, car engines ravving. The morning when i managed to call the front desk, they gave me another room within 30mins at a higher floor. Sound disturbance was better. For those who likes to drink, the hotel is along the same row of various types of pubs and bars.
