I didn't find much about this hotel to recommend. there were the makings, with outdoor pool, distinct décor, several restaurants, but in the end it was a cold, tourist hotel. I was in an old room, housekeeping was so so, reception missed several beats, the restaurants were mediocre, and loud. would not go back.

Hotel room is spacious even with a double and single bed. We had two rooms as had adult kids with us. Not only did we get our request to have rooms together but we also got interconnecting rooms which was very convenient. Room and bathroom were very clean. Bathroom also very spacious. Aircon was great - no noise and kept the humidity out. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Swimming pool was absolutely beautiful. We swam in the evening as we were out all days. (Towels are supplied and picked up by the restaurant). Also note the pool does get closed if there is a storm for safety due to lightening strikes etc Ate one meal at hotel - was typical Singapore food buffet, nothing wrong =, just not our cup of tea. We secured booking through Agoda, excluding breakfast - was really good value. Checked with hotel that they had our booking and they confirmed all was in order - had no problems. Breakfast: Next to MRT (underground is new food court). Some good bakeries with western food: coffee and delicious croissants. Hotel is really good position. Literally a 3 min flat walk to the Tanjong Pagar MRT (which is under the Sofitel hotel). Easy to get to all destinations.. little india (good for buying sari's) Bugis (fabric stores galore). The MRT is a fantastic well run service. (We used the 3 day MRT pass - can purchase from Tanjong Pagar but check opening times and they take cash only). There are a lot of street food restaurants surrounding the hotel. If prefer more Western food - eat at the Habourfront (easy access with MRT). Most of the shopping centres have western food.

Pros 1. Room was large, great views and all amenities. Very comfortable and value for money 2. Great metro access, station is just across the street. 3. Good location, many major attractions are quite close by MRT or Taxi 4. Good pool
Cons 1. Had a small enquiry before the trip. Repeated Email enquiries were unanswered. Not good service for a 4-star hotel that frequently sees foreign guests. 2. On one occasion ome sanitation staff rang the doorbell around 11 AM, and then opened the door and walked in when we did not reply. Unacceptable. You cannot enter unless we tell you too. Very basic hotel etiquettes.
Needs better training of staff on service side.

Value for money in a great location. We booked a room for 3 people (comes with a double bed and a single bed) for less than S$400 for one night and comes inclusive with breakfast.
Unfortunately the aircon was not cold enough even though the temperature was set to 16 degrees.
Staff are friendly and helpful, called for additional toiletries and the housekeeping was quick to respond.
Breakfast Buffet is at Level 3 cafe and their variety is average, but that taste is not that bad.
The hotel has a small swimming pool and a small gym but otherwise there isn't much in the hotel.

Stayed in the hotel during my visit to Singapore for 2 days. Reached the hotel by cab from the airport, later realised that it is very close to MRT station, could have comfortably reached by train. The checkin process was good, though the demand for the entire payment for the stay at the time of checkin was quite excessive, as the booking was done by office. There are nice Indian vegetarian restaurants nearby, which was good for me to visit for food. For the breakfast in the hotel, the Manager was kind enough to prepare a vegetarian noodles and rice options on both the days, though the quality could have been better. The restaurant is in the same floor - Floor 3 - as the gym and swimming pool. Had a big contingent of school children in the hotel during my stay and hence the lift usage was quite chaotic. The location was great and walking distance from Robinson Road and other offices. Since it was raining, had a bit of an issue while returning from meetings and had to take cabs, also while returning to airport. Hotel staff were helpful and cooperative for any queries. The room was fabulous, with a double bed and a single bed, like a family room for stay of 3 people, though I stayed single..the cleanliness, the supplies etc., were good.
