To ensure a safe, comfortable and personalised experience stay, the hotel sent me an email a week prior to my arrival and I’m required to complete the pre-arrival form. The pre-arrival form facilitates contact tracing and other response measures during the COVID-19 outbreak. Access to the gym, pool as well as breakfast session requires pre-booking. A day prior to arrival, I received a call from the hotel around 8pm and was informed that the designated check-in time is 11am and I can enjoy late check-out at 2pm.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was directed to the Post Bar to complete the declaration form and was seated while waiting for check-in. I was then directed to the hotel front desk to complete the check-in process. The front desk staff was very attentive and professional. It caught her attention that I did not return the pre-arrival form in advance hence she needs to check the availability of my request, for gym and pool access. The check-in process is smooth and pleasant, less than 20 minutes. It would have been faster if I completed the pre-arrival form 3 days prior to arrival date.
The Straits Club Marina Bay View Room is located at level 4 and offer stunning panoramic views of Marina Bay with sunlight. The hotel room is clean and spacious. Customised BALMAIN shower gel, shampoo, soap, lotion, shower cap, shaving, dental, vanity kit is provided. Slippers and bathrobes were ready in room. Complimentary minibar includes Nespresso coffee as well as wide selection of tea varieties from TWG. Comfortable mattress and pillow, no complaints about that. Due to the fiscal year end closing, I’m glad that there’s a work desk in the room with Harman Kardon speaker so I can complete my work. What I love most is the spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and overhead shower. There’s a single seat sofa which allows me to lounge my evening away overlooking Marina Bay.
This is my first hotel stay with The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and I had a wonderfully comfortable and pleasant stay. However, this is not my first service experience at the hotel. Due to COVID 19 travel restrictions, I’ve spent more time than usual dining at Jade and The Courtyard as well as pampering treatments at The Fullerton Spa. Last year, my company hosted our business partners at Post Bar and we had a pleasant experience dealing with the team.
I’m extremely impressed with the consistency of service standards be it customer hotline, restaurants, front desk, etc. The hotel staffs never fail to return my phone call/appointment follow-up. That is something a true 6-star hotel in Singapore fails.
There's just one little flaw and this struck me. I was ready to leave the hotel after I’ve picked up my luggage. I’ve approached one of your staff and she confirmed that she has called me a taxi and I can wait at the hotel entrance, not sure how she does it. I stood outside the hotel entrance for at least 15 minutes and it started pouring. I approached a lady, boy cut hair with spectacles and asked if she is aware that her colleague has called me a taxi. She couldn’t be bothered to find out why I stand there waiting for 15 minutes. Without understanding or taking initiative to find out more, she said that I can book a taxi on grab. I walk off and book a taxi on grab wasted another 10 minutes waiting for a taxi.
A successful hotel delivers excellent quality service to customers. Looking forward to my next stay!
