Set in an attractive building, my courtyard room was acceptable, clean with a decent bathroom. Breakfast was better than minimum, With fruit, juice, an egg and rolls. Standard ‘hotel’ coffee. Place maybe shutting soon though
it was not a good experience- the day we arrived it was raining and the window in our room was open- all bedsheets were like “wet”..the rooms and bathrooms are old. The breakfast was good. The staff is nice.
Ariived after a late flight at check in we were handed our keys and with one word spoken 12. Excuse me I said the girl said 12 I asked 12 where is 12 she seemed put out that I asked where my room was.
We looked at our room and was not impressed smell of cigarettes and not the quality my uk agent told us. So we refused to stay and found another hotel.
It a very simple cheap place don't expect a smile or any help with your bags I'm sure it's passable for back packers looking for a cheap place in a good area.
Hotel is clean and basic. We had room 16, on the 3rd floor. Hot water was warm but just a trickle....better earlier in the morning. There's a bit of street noise but it's not too bad. My room had 3 beds and a bathroom that could do with some renovating. Bed and pillows soft- nice and comfy.
There is no lift so you carry your bags upstairs. Lots of nice balcony/ outdoor areas to sit, and couches inside in random spots.
Breakfast is basic- bread, eggs, cereal and fruit but it's quite ok. There's a resident parrot- Lorenzo- who likes the ladies! He visits rooms if doors are left open!
As with most places in Lima- don't flush the toilet paper! Towels a bit worn out but otherwise all good. Staff were helpful, particularly Gabrielle.
Location is OK- walking distance to Kennedy Park area (10 min) and 10-15 min to Lacormar on the coast (shopping centre/ food venues). There area few nice reestaurants close by too. Supermarket is a few mins walk away.
We enjoyed our 3 nights here.... late check in was fine (we arrived at 2am). Check in was easy and quick. Oh- BYO water....it's not supllied in the rooms.
Despite the security gate and video surveillance, the security is very poor. Anyone can wander in. My handbag was stolen from the breakfast room and despite reporting it a couple of minutes after it happened no attempt was made to identify the thief.
No attempt was made to replace the lock on the door to our room in spite of the fact that they room key was in my handbag (room #11).
