I recently stayed three nights in this beautiful mansion in the City of Alma, Michigan. It was a relaxing, enjoyable stay and I can't say enough about this gem. The Innkeeper and his wife are friendly and engaging people, dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as they can. Ask them about the house, it's history and how they came to own it. You won't be disappointed.
The rooms are as a beautiful as they are comfortable. Spacious and wonderfully furnished with antiques everywhere. Guests are encouraged to not only use their rooms, but to wander the house. There are little nooks everywhere. So weather you need to work a bit, or just find a place to squirrel away with a cup of coffee and read a good book, you will find it here.
The breakfast was equally terrific. Coffee, tea, juice and fresh pastries greet you first thing, and the Innkeeper brings a fresh fruit cup straight away. Your entre (chosen the night before) is delivered to you as you are enjoying those and the stunning dining room they are served in.
Do yourself a favor and go this the unique and beguiling place. You won't be disappointed.
Room Tip: Don't be afraid to use the furniture. It is old and beautiful, but also comfortable and...
