Booked this online and the pictures of the room looked very nice. Flat screen tv, double bed, “city view” and a nice modern bathroom. When we arrived, this is not what we got. We had 2 single beds in a room that smelt very funny, a 20year old bulky tv that didn’t work, air con that didn’t really do anything but make a loud banging noise every 30seconds, so we had to turn it off. A tiny window with a view of a dirty wall, and a tiny bathroom with a shower that gets all the toilet and everything wet. We went straight to reception and showed them the pictures of the room online compared to what we got, they showed us to another room which was basically the same, and they told us they couldn’t do anything until tomorrow so we had to stay in it. The next day we went to Angkor Wat early morning and when we got back in the afternoon we had to tell them again about the room, which they did end up moving us to a room which was ALOT nicer and more like the pictures. I said why did we not get this room yesterday and they said that this was a “deluxe room” and they have “upgraded us” which clearly isn’t true because this was the room from the picture that we booked. And i don’t think any room in this place has a “city view” because its located on a small narrow side street opposite a school.
The good things about this place is that its only a 5-10min walk to pub street and theres a good supermarket at the bottom of the road. Also it only cost us $47 for 2 nights which is good.
I stayed there 3 days and I really loved it! The staff was so nice and helpful, always smiling. I had a room with balcony and pool view, staying there was so peaceful and relaxing. They have a lot of trees around, you can even hear birds. :-) They let me have a later check-out since my flight was in the evening. I would definitely recommend it to everyone! Thank you Lavender for a pleasent stay! :-)

If asking you got help with wathever you needed.Breakfast good, different choices: Continental, American or Asia. The garden is beautiful, lots of butterflies. Clean swimmingpool. There is lots of small restaurants in the area. If you want to stay at a familiar hotel I Will recommend Lavender Angkor Botique.
