... it was open for new. The water also smelt like iron but maybe they've fixed this now. Lovely swimming pool and nice location! Would stay again.

The owner of this hotel is a friend of a friend and was very hospitable. We paid $20 a night but I think it's fair for the standard of the room. Lovely swimming pool and nice location! Would stay again.

Loved this place. Friendly staff, relaxing pool set in a lovely garden, clean and quiet rooms.

We arrived on New Years Eve and went out drinking that night and we had a nice quiet and cool room to come back to. The hotel itself is beautiful with gorgeous hard wood staircase and tea and coffee is available in the lobby all day and night. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was there was a problem in our room with the hot water and the blinds could have been darker to keep out the the morning sunlight, but that was a small price to pay for a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

This hotel is in a great location and what made it for me was the awesome pool. It lacks recliners which I think would go down well and the hotel its;f is a little tired and could use a bit of updating (the rooms) but staff are friendly and breakfast ok.
I think it;s a little pricey for what you get but I felt at home here for a week or so.
Disappointed by the fact they have a fridge downstairs which isn't on and there are no drinks to buy so you have to wonder off and get your own...not such a bad thing but annoying if you just feel like a cold beer by the pool

We stayed here for 3 nights the beginning of May and would highly recommend this place. The hotel had the tuk tuk meet us at the airport (Mr G rocks!) and it was a great experience all around. We were warmly greeted upon check in and each time we arrived at the hotel we got the same friendly greeting. The room was very comfortable with a/c, a flat screen tv, fridge and comfortable beds. The bathroom served as the shower so beware when you take a shower, but the water was hot with good pressure. The room has the key in slot, electricity on system, but we found a plug by the tv/fridge that stayed on so we could charge things while we were out of the room. Breakfast was provided in the morning poolside (eggs, toast and fruits) and coffee and tea were available in the lobby at all times. The grounds of the hotel are small, but very accommodating and there are chairs by the pool for lounging or you can sit at the tables under the covered area where breakfast is served. Mr G, the tuk tuk driver, was always on time for our tours and was very friendly and knowledgeable and made some excellent suggestions on where to go and what to see. The hotel is about a 5-10 min walk from Pub Street and there are little bars and snack stands along the road, but there are lots of restaurants and the night market just down the street. The sidewalk to/from town isn't the best and you do have to walk in the road at some parts, but there isn't that much traffic. It was a very relaxing few days and I would not hesitate to recommend and/or stay here again.
