This hotel was suggested by my Indonesian friends because it is an expensive hotel (&presumably nice). Marcopolo is not suitable for Westerner. This dated unkept hotel is owned by a retired Army General & the resto (read:smoking area serving warm beer)is inhabited by bored looking uniformed soldiers lounging around. The tables are useful for laying their machine guns on.I asked for the most expensive room&it overlooked the public pool&harbour, albiet thru filthy windows&stained curtains. The Tv was broken&did not work, the fridge same :-(
Putting all this aside to a bit of bad luck&preparing to shower, the worlds largest cockroach attempted to steal the complimentary toothbrush,so I repacked my bag, called a taxi to The Sheraton (just AUD$20 more)&checked out.I did receive a full refund, "only" after standing my ground & demanding to talk to management.I tipped the Lady Manager 100K for the eventual kind service (& so as to not annoy the gun weilding soldiers)

Stay at this hotel on 20 juli, old building but still comfortable for stay. It has clean room and olympic pool.

The price is very reasonable. ATM BCA in the lobby.

Didn't try the restaurant, so no review about the food.

Carpark is spacious.
