Mitch, Ellen and the rest of the crew have created a super easy happy atmosphere at Ekas Breaks that's hard to beat. If you're into surfing Mitch will plug info on tides, swell size, wind etc into his super-computer surfing brain and take you out to the best spot twice a day. Hit him up for surf lessons - he's been riding waves for almost as long as he can walk. If chilling's more your thing pick a bean-bag and a bit of shady lawn, a lounger by the pool or your room's balcony. Or hang out in the restaurant - good food at a resonable price. Try the vegetarian lasagne with eggplants from the garden. If we'd known how good Ekas breaks was we would have booked a surf camp here. As it was we came for two nights and stayed for a week, Loved it!
Spent just over two weeks here with a surf group from the UK. The resort is a perfect place to chill whether or not you are surfing. Ellen and Mitch oversee an outstanding operation with some of the most genuinely friendly staff I have ever encountered (thanks to Nur, Ica, Isna, Ronnie and many others - sorry not to have all the names). Great accommodation and excellent food, nice pool and great support from the team for our surf camp.
Whilst we were coached by our own instructors, talking to Mitch left me in no doubt from comments and advice that he’s a very good surf coach should you require his services. The waves on almost empty breaks are consistently good - especially for early intermediates like me.
I upgraded to a suite for additional space and had a wonderful stay.
In summary, relaxed and informal and very very friendly. A wonderful stay.
The resort is a little oasis in the dry the season. Wonderfully kept gardens surrounding the bungalows and suites. The pool was beautifully warm with 2 showers tucked away surrounded by flowers.
The staff were super friendly, willing to bend over backwards to help you with what ever you needed.
The new activity coordinators (?) Mitch and Ellen were both super cool and friendly. They really know their stuff and are just so positive about surfing (and life in general).
We stayed in a suite - gave us a little more extra space and an outdoor shower (looking up at the stars at night was a unique experience and one not to miss).
There are some amazing surf breaks down there. Great fun taking the boat and diving off - certainly crossed of my bucket list. Absolutely loved the place and miss it already!!!
The view from the pool and restaurant outside are immediately struck by the beautiful area. Green, peaceful and very spacious - very welcoming.
The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfasts were amazing, a wonderful selection, and again, the young staff were very efficient and helpful in making the breakfast times fun and enjoyable.
The location of the hotel is actually great location for Ekas area (especially some of the road been fixed, some more undergoing process of construction).
They have many fun activities.
Surf, Kitesurfing, SUP, also they own private beach (wide beach sand area) face sunset and chill.
The room we had was very nice.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors to Ekas Peninsula.
Thank you Ekasbreaks for making our stay so special.
Stayed here for 10 nights for my husband to kitesurf. I am used to staying in lesser places for this sport but I can honestly say Ekas Breaks has been the best. We stayed in Suite 1 which was worth the extra money for a lot of space. The menu is not huge but is all well cooked and the fresh fish to order is delicious. The pool area is great and the staff are wonderful. We will definitely come back.
