Simple hotel but super convenient, close to JR train station and there are many eateries nearby. The hotel even includes a complimentary buffet breakfast, nothing fancy but just a nice touch to start your day. Room is proper and clean.
Note that the train station nearby is JR Wakayama station and not Wakayama-shi (Wakayama city) station on the private train line. I made a mistake myself and had to get here by another train ride. This is a very pleasant town. If you have time, take the JR line to Kishi station (貴志駅) to see its famous cat manager Tama.
Located just next to JR station, it is a prefect location for those who arrived by train. Room is typical comfort hotel style, cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is always the highlight, the half-boiled egg is so good!
I loved the location (short walk to JR Station and everything else). EXCELLENT VALUE. The room and staff were great. Buffet breakfast had a nice mix of Japanese and other/American standards. The only complaint is the nearly pancake thickness pillows. So thin I thought there were none! But five did the job for a short stay (3nights). Be prepared for desk staff not speaking English unless 2-3 of those who do (out of 12) are on duty. But god bless ‘em, they gave it their best with translator software and persistence on both sides Of the desk - and remember it’s their country!
Overnight stay budget hotel. A tight fit for two in double room. Would be fine for single person business stay. Well located for rail transport connections. All ammenities available and modest breakfast provided.
room size OK by Japan standards, close to the station so many eating options in the close area, nice helpful staff, limited parking on site but very close to a multi-storey car park, good and plentiful buffet breakfast, very clean and quite modern, good value.
