When entering the Jeepney house, it feels like entering a private home with a friendly welcome. The staff made sure I get all I need and they even invited me to have lunch with them. Everything is kept very clean and I felt very comfortable in my private room. I prefer to sleep with open windows instead of aircon, which I was able to do there. Considering the convenient location in a quiet residential area with only a few minutes of walk to lots of restaurants and into the city center of Makati, the room rates are really a great deal.

room was a bit small but, for the price i've paid it was just fine. i paid 800 peso for a double room which is rather cheap no tv and no bedlamp but with airconditioning and a fan.the hostel does not offer any food nor drinks but there was a chalkboard with breakfast items on it which i think was a bit strange.
i met the owners who are really nice and are available for any inconveniances.
The hostel is situated in Makati which is 10km from the airport but you can get there for about 180 peso with a cab with meter...if you take it from the airport then walk up to the burger king ad take escalator or stairs up and get a taxi with a meter all other taxi's will try to rip you off.don't go below 200 peso.
the hostel is in an area where there is a 7/11 and lots of korean restaurants and much more restaurants..on 5 minute walking distance you'll find a very big mall and several known coffee-places such as ucc and starbucks. in my opinion this is a very good price/quality rate so i will surely go here again the next time i have to stay over a night before traveling off to another island. the hostel is clean and taken care off.
staff is friendly.

I stayed at Jeepney 3 nights when I arrived in Manila.
I was warmly welcomed by the staff who showed me a tiny room on the upper floor. I got the private room. It is very clean with AC and a shared bathroom. It s not a luxury room for sure, but for the price, it worth it.
It s a small guesthouse with only a couple of rooms and 2 dorms if I remember well.
There are a few tables and armchairs downstairs.
Otherwise, it is a good location as it has a few places around to go eat or go and have a drink. Many shopping malls (I don t like shopping so i dont know if there are any good, but they are supposed to be). It s also very convenient to get a taxi and et around.
Good experience altogether.

Checked in on 14th April 2015 with a girl friend and was met by two staff - a guy and another lady. We were given a two bunk bed room even though we had only booked a private room for two. Totally excellent because we had more space! :) First impression was that TJH was a really cosy and homey place, almost like a home in another country. It was also situated in a nice residential neighbourhood which perhaps added to the homey feel.

The room was clean, comfortable had a fan and air-con as well as free Wifi. Clean towels and blankets were provided. You are advised to bring your own toiletries as they are not provided. (e.g bath soap, shampoo, face wash, toilet paper) The bathrooms and shower rooms are only enclosed by a frosted piece of glass/plastic, so those who are very bodily/privacy-conscious will find it a problem. Also, the bathrooms are kinda small (maybe because I am a bigger-sized Asian, but I would expect some Caucasians and Europeans to find it a squeeze too) but it wasn't a huge problem. Clean drinkable water is provided and there is a small kitchen that you can use, although we didn't.

Also, one of the three founders of TJH (a very nice lady I should mention) had given us a lift to the nearest MRT station as we were not sure on how to get there. We were really pleased and grateful for the extra help! As we're girls, TJH feels very safe during our stay and we didn't lose anything despite having a spoilt lock on our door. The rooms and beds are comfy enough to make us look forward to going back to rest after a long day out. In fact, my friend and I spent a few lazy mornings in our room before heading out.

Overall, we had a really pleasant stay in The Jeepney House and would love to return again someday if we are ever in the vicinity. It is a really good value for your buck, and you won't regret it if you book a room with them :D

Anyway, dear staff of TJH, we would suggest that toilet paper and hooks to hang our clothes during shower (and in the room) be provided to make the stay a lot more comfortable!
