I was skeptical with staying here at first because
it's not your typical chain hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. The room itself was modern and the bed was comfortable. The separate bathroom needs an update to match the room. The AC worked well for being a window unit. The mini fridge and microwave was convenient as we had some leftovers to eat. I was turned off by the (possible) boogers or snot speckled on the desk that was in the room and the shower curtain smelled sour as though it had stayed wet too long and not cleaned appropriately. The shower pressure was really nice. It felt like a massage! The shower water didn't drain well - it wasn't a complete back up, just didn't drain efficiently. I like how it's all one level - no foot traffic sound above us. The service was good. I did not inquire much about what drinks or snacks were available for purchase but my husband did notice a vending machine that was empty. I'm giving this 3 stars for the comfy bed, quite atmosphere, and updated room. If there was breakfast, the separate bathroom was updated, and the couple of cleanliness marks weren't an issue then I'd say 4-5 stars. Thank you Boarders Inn for a good nights sleep.

Let's go with Pros and Cons:
PROS - The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The Refrigerator, microwave, and TV channels were good. Nice shower.
CONS - When they say checkin is 3:00, they mean it. 40% of the rooms were vacant but we could not get in at 2:00. Website said it came with breakfast - there is no breakfast!!! - very misleading since the closest place for breakfast is several miles away. Very thin walls - couldn't have been 12 rooms being used and we had people on each side of us and could hear them talking - Our view was a blue dumpster - enough said. Bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioner/heater sounded like a jet taking off and only stayed on for maybe a minute. The website makes this place look better than it is - no where could this hotel get $100 a room but maybe here. Like I said, at least the people at the desk were pleasant but doubtful we make this again.

This was a hotel we stopped at while passing through. The photo makes it seem bigger than it is. This is a classic single story, outside door, hotel room from a bygone era. Now, that said, the room was the cleanest one we have stayed in on our trip! The backside would likely not hear the traffic passing by, but ours was on the front and we heard a little. Not enough to keep us from a great nights sleep. The room was plenty well furnished and the shower was great with excellent water pressure. No complaints here. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

We stayed here for a friend’s wedding. We did not realize it was a MOTEL not a HOTEl. We paid $275 total for 2 nights and that was supposedly the special rate for the wedding block of rooms that were reserved for guests. We found the room to be very dirty and just had an uneasy feeling the entire stay about the lack of cleanliness.

After driving all day with 3 kids and arriving as it was getting dark, we decided to just stay and try to make the best of it. We would have lost out on our $275, as we did not cancel 48 hours prior to reservation.

Beds are not comfortable.

It is in a very pretty area!

All in all we were ok for 2 nights but very disappointed that we paid so much for what it was. I say at beat this room should go for about $70/night.

If you’re doing anything in Ashland city, I highly recommend staying in Clarksville and making the 30 minute drive. We truly wish we had known more about the area before booking here!

I don't need fancy hotels to enjoy trips, but I do need a CLEAN place to rest. This hotel was absolutely NASTY! I honestly can't understand how anyone has rated this place higher than a 1. I'd go lower than 1 if I could.

We arrived early in the morning, around 1 a.m. The immediate vibe is "UGH!" However, we thought maybe the room would be clean and cozy. The room, instead, was dirty. Cobwebs in the corners, dead bugs on the AC unit, dust everywhere, and a stale smell. There was no way I'd allow my family to stay in such unclean conditions. Getting a refund was a fiasco, but I DID get my money back, thank goodness. I would strongly advise you find another place to stay.

And I know what you/re thinking....I thought the same thing. The pictures posted by this hotel look kinda nice. They make the hotel look like a quaint, newly-remodeled mom-and-pop kinda hotel. Well, it isnt! The pictures posted are SO MISLEADING! This place needs a serious cleaning and a change in management. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else if at all possible.
