The fact that I chose this hotel again for the 5th time this year, this time for a long stay, is indeed an indication of how much I like the place and feel at home there!
My previous reviews already detail a lot about it, and this time I'd like to add up to them by mentioning the excellent sauna and pool facilities, including the equipped gym!
No dount I shall be back next year, maybe again more than once!

Stayed for three nights in this business like hotel and was satisfied with the room with balcony and the included breakfast. The hotel has a gym and a pool to chill out. About 1/2 hour drive from the historical centre (if there is no traffic jam). Easily reached on state road B99 coming from e.g. the international airport.

This hotel as the potential to be WOW but will never be a WOW.

I have been coming for the last 2 years each time I spend 180 days a year. So this review is base in detail depth how a client that plans to stay for a long time should know.

I have to explain this point to began with on how Mercury hotel operate in General this why I say it will never be a WOW. They subcontract the Parking, Restaurant, SPA and etc. By taking this approach you never take the responsibility of all the problem because you always find an escape goat.

The room are very nice and large and modern they are keep clean. The floor is made of floor tiles this make it easy to clean and joint sealer are clean not dark gray just white.

Elevator: They are 4 service elevator they are modern and keep clean. The card reader to access your floor is a bit of pain you have to pull the card in a angle in order it work.

Gym: Well this part is being a bit up and down within the last 2 years the treadmills have been reduce and not replace. They add 6 of them at one point and left with 3 go figured. The maintenance on the equipment is kept a minimum until you call they don't go fix it. Not enough weight for lifting plates. soon you have 3 folks you have to wait.

Pool: They have 2 pools one of them is only for laps and in the dark 90% of the day. the Second pool is a large common pool with 2 tier level great if you have kids because you only have 2.5 foot of water. The second part is much deeper like 5.5 foot and by 2pm no more Sun.

Spa: This part as of now is not working anymore as they have not find a vendor willing to take the contract. if you are a hotel should you still have to provided the following my opinion is yes as you list the services it should be functional you think.

The Sauna room. No way we could adjust the temp, they have set the temp to 30c under a key in a tropical region that the normal temp is 30c hmm I think they are missing the point of Sauna.

The Jacuzzi tub they have one if you like to use you have to rent.

The Parking is the most non practical thing I ever see. They have farm out the operator right for the parking. You think your room card would work to open the door hmm no you have to submit the invoices to the front desk and the front desk takes payment and only after you are able to present the voucher to leave. before you are able to leave the parking by going underground keeping a movement of traffic easy to maneuver around. now you have to go around a left lane toward an incoming traffic lane while you have to go back and forth like 10 time to make the corner.

Now my Favorite topic the Restaurant!!! At this point this Hotel goes down to 1 STAR. Most of you would say with a surprise why one start simple the menu as been the same for the last 2 years no joke. Plus, the breakfast it is the same for the last 2 years. I'm talking continental breakfast the same each days 7 days a week keep in mind I spend 180 days into the same a hotel. My advice is to go visit another restaurant if you are going to stay longer that 5 days. Brazilian food in General is very nice but this restaurant is so boring you could sleep at the chair and the service even worst they are so slow to take your order and to help you in general.

Yes you are close to Salvador shopping!
Do not stay in the front of the hotel during weekend because in Brazil fuel station are like gathering for the locals to keep drinking and playing loud music until 2,am. Ask for the back of the hotel.

This hotel located at a very nice area and it is apparently new. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, staff is quite friendly and helpful, food is good. The pool/gym/lounge area is inviting, I like the decoration! Wifi is good throughout the hotel.
Breakfast is good, not special, but good! It could be slightly cheaper!

Only two notes on the downside: menu for the room service is just a paper printed at a "home" printer which doesn't affect the service, but it would be nice to have it done more professionally. Second point is when I called the restaurant in order to ask for some food, they didn't answer. I had to call reception and the restaurant called me many minutes later.

I will definitely come back and I totally recommend. The negatives are really small and should not affect your stay.

For me the property was very well located. Good breakfast and good gym. The rooms are a bit small but normal for the region. Room A/C was poor and leaked. Maintenance was unable to fix it although they claim too fix the leak. Trash basket was my fix. The rooms are a bit noisy, windows don't seal very good.
God fitness center.
