We stayed for two nights. In the “nursery room” w/ only claw foot tub & spray wand — I’m 6’4” so this was a challenge, but manageable. And we knew this coming in. Everything else was terrific. Hosts Tina & Brian are so nice & helpful. B’fasts were amazing. Highly recommend. This is now our spot when we visit our son living in the area.

The millers are some wonderful people and they have an amazing B&B! Most of their rooms are cozy little cottages (if that's the right word to describe them) that are spaced out across the property. And there property is GORGEOUS. Lots of space to roam around for sure. The breakfast was brought to our room each morning by one the Millers and it was good stuff! :) There was also a nice dessert awaiting us each night (And oh my goodness...the Nutella cookies are the bomb.com!). We'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone :)

My wife and I stayed at The Inn for two nights while in the Apostle Islands area. We stayed in the Clarice Room which featured a nice comfortable bedroom with a private bathroom, connected by a sitting and dining area. There was also another smaller bedroom in our area, which we could use for storing our luggage. The WiFi signal was strong, too.

The breakfasts were outstanding and featured fresh, local fruits. Coffee and breakfast service was provided right to our door, giving us additional time to discuss our daily travel plans. The blueberry pancakes were especially a delightful treat! After coming back from a long day of waterfall sightseeing, the owners surprised us with a tasty apple crisp dessert, as well.

The owners are especially warm and helpful to their guests and provided some great suggestions for sights to see in the Ashland area, as well as lodging ideas in the UP of Michigan for the next part of our Lake Superior roadtrip. Their pets also love to greet visitors as they park their vehicles and walk towards the house.

We plan to return to the Apostle Islands soon and will try to return to this B&B for our next stay.

Proprietors, Brian and Tina, go out of there way to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. We stayed in The Carriage House which is separate from the main building. The property is on 20 acres of beautiful wooded land. In the evening, a wonderful dessert was delivered to our room by Tina. As we had a boat tour scheduled for the Apostle Islands in the morning, we thought we might have to skip breakfast. However, Tina and Brian were so accommodating, they delivered our fabulous breakfast at 7:45 a.m. giving us enough time to leisurely enjoy our food. Tina's Brazilian Banana Pancakes are to die for! We thought the food might be cold when delivered out to our Carriage House yet everything was steaming hot. The Inn at Timber Cove is worth a trip to upper Wisconsin.

I searched so many places in the Ashland/Apostle Islands area and decided on Timber Cove-To be honest most of the hotels horrified me, like fishing shacks or family resorts-I am not fond of children so I did not want to be around numerous families and opted for a B&B-One of my main reasons for selecting Inn at Timber Cove was that you don't have to eat breakfast with everyone-I unfortunately am a zombie when I wake up, I want to be left alone and cannot communicate well with others until I am awake, so I loved that Brian and Tina delivered food to you-You can eat your breakfast in privacy-

I decided on one option but it was unavailable, only the Little Cottage in the Woods was available during our stay, which was in August-I was happy to get that option and Tina was great for she worked with a guest and was able to get us to that cottage-

When we arrived we pulled into the main entrance and Brian greeted us-We signed in and then was told to drive down to the 2nd drive way and he would meet us there-
We pulled to the drive and Brian was there to show us around, and told us places to eat and different places to see while in town-

The cottage has no TV, just a CD player, so get used to that-Not a negative, but it's something you are so used to-Honestly we were on our iPhones looking at stuff and went to bed shortly after since we were busy hiking during the day-

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and a dining room-Oh, and a laundry/storage room off to the side-When we stayed it was pretty cool at night so we didn't need to use the AC units, except the last night-It was a bit warm and uncomfortable that night and had to use them-

The night we arrived there was chocolate cake waiting for us, then the next morning Brian appeared at the time we requested with our breakfast-We had breakfast 3 days and had dessert on our table each night-Brian was very sweet and helpful, he knows the area like the back of his hand and was able to give directions to places we wanted to see-

Only had one tiny issue with the shower, as soon as you stepped in it started to flood, water was overflowing all over the bathroom-I found the toilet plunger and thought I'd give it a try and plunged the shower strainer thing after the 2nd day of this issue, luckily it worked but we had soaked through many towels b/c of this-There were a couple bugs in the place, but it's a cottage so I expected that-

I would stay here again and think Brian and Tina have a great business with Inn at Timber Cove-They are good people that care about the property, it shows all around-

This is a rustic little cottage, it felt and smelled like a Grandma's house, even the decorations around will make you feel you are at an elders house so that is what you will get when staying here-Nothing fancy, new or modern, so if that is what you need for a couple days I suggest staying in The Little Cottage in the Woods-

Tips***
-restaurants take forever to serve your food, people are nice but for some reason they are slow so if you are starving keep this in mind-You may want to eat a snack or two before going-
-Go to the Walgreen's or Walmart for drinks/food/snacks-
-Go pet the cats up at the main house, and give Skippy special attention-
