Pros: Lovely owners, great view, good price and good food in the restaurant.

Cons: Hardly no water pressure, bathroom and shower had openings between walls and ceiling so insects could easily enter, horrible lightbulb in the ceiling of the room and no other lamps.

Despite the shortcomings we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

9 bungalows on the hill with amazing seaside view. Rooms are simple and clean (every 2 days they clean the room and change bedsheets, towels), super friendly owners, good quality Thai food at very good prices in the restaurant (they sell also beer can 80 THB), close to a sandy beach with some bars/restaurants (Green Coffee is good for espresso, cookies, shop with beer and other drinks). If you find availability and stay longer choose a bungalow with hot water. Bungalows with cold water means very cold shower (not heated solar). You can rent from the owners bicycle or scooter, which is a must to explore the island. It is really beautiful and surprising, but you need at least 5 days to go into the deep!

I booked this place based on the excellent reviews here in Tripadvisor but all in all it was a big disappointment for the following reasons:
- We booked the bungalow with air conditioning in March 2016 for 5 nights. When reconfirmed with the owner in mid Oct, it turned out that he registered us for Dec, so we could stay in the ac bungalow for 3 nights only. For the remaining 2 days he offered us another bungalow with a fan for free. (At the end we decided not to stay for the last 2 nights.)
- The area around the bungalows (the garden) is not really maintained. Empty bottles, repair tools, pieces of wood etc. are left all over.
- There is a construction at the end of the road with big noise starting from 8 AM. The plan is to finish it in 2018...
- Water was dropping from the ac in our bungalow, which we reported right after arrival, but it got fixed only after 2 nights. We were unable to adjust the temperature of the ac, so after 20 min we were freezing in the room even after the repair.

Positive: Pramot, the local policeman and owner was very kind, he organized a full day boat tour (for 2000 THB) and packed us free lunch for the trip. Their restaurant has reasonable prices and the view from there and from most of the bungalows is amazing. However the view could still not compensate all the other negative impressions/service defects we experienced.

How fortunate that this small room with a wonderful view of the bay.
simple comforts but amazing value price but more elsewhere
Rusty by 20 years without moped what a joy to see the owner who is between the police of the island we relearn to drive a moped c was great.
Also all his advice on wild and extraordinary places are very valuable and best of all we have to organize 2 output longtails a koh hong and the other has Railey off the tracks and actually only one immersed in the world in wonderful fund .A strongly advise anyone looking for simplicity and authenticity.
Last word on the restaurant owner 's daughter kitchen for you and even curries are pounded minutes

The view from the self contained bungalow of the moon rising over the sea and the sunset the next morning was brilliant, and there was a nice gentle breeze over the balcony in the afternoon.
The room itself was fairly basic, but comfortable, with a thorough mosquito net over the bed allowing the doors to be opened if desired, though we chose to be slightly cooler and use the a.c.

The bathroom was quite basic & was open to outside at roof level without fly screen, so we chose to shower before sunset.

The restaurant was a very reasonable price & tasty Thai food, with options that did not include chilli.

The bungalows are located on a fairly steep hill, so each gets a view, but it is about a 5 minute walk to the sea (10 mins back!) The beach right there is not very sandy, but beaches nearby are.

The hosts could not have been more helpful. He is a local community police officer & not at all like the police in Bangkok. He rides a bicycle as he patrols the area dispensing useful travel advice & has island tourist maps in his office.
They can arrange trips or transport for you. He even gave us a lift to the beach for an early morning kayak to Ko Nok, before arranging transport to the ferry for us. No extra charge for transport, just acted as if everyone would do the same. If only.
