We have been here for two days and nights. Nice and clean room. The owners are very friendly. Easy environment. The second day we asked the owner if he could show us around in his Tuk Tuk. He drove us around the Tempel, the Lake and the Lion Rock. Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay over here. This place is run by a lovely family. They will arrange everything you could imagine. the food is delicious and they take care of everything. We got the newly built room which has airconditioning and a very good shower.
A lot of birds and other animals can be watched here. You also don't want to miss the view from this place on the lion rock.

We booked a small double room with air-conditioning for £14 including breakfast and WiFi.

We were welcomed on arrival with fresh juice and were immediately offered a larger room for $10 extra. We were quite happy with the room we had been given, so initially declined. We then discovered the air-conditioning was broken in our room so decided to take the larger room with working air-conditioning. The larger room was spacious and comfortable. We had a home cooked dinner in the evening which was delicious, albeit much pricier than local restaurants (2400 rupees compared to under 1000 if eating locally).

What disappointed us was that when we came to check out in the morning, we had been billed over 1000 rupees for our breakfast. When we queried this, we were told that the breakfast was only included for the cheaper room, not the larger room... which we had only taken (and paid more for) due to the broken air-conditioning in the original room booked. We felt this was quite a sneaky way of getting more money from us- we should have been informed that our ‘upgrade’ to larger room now meant that we didn’t have breakfast included.

The WiFi was only available in the main office and was switched off regularly, presumably to save data. We had to ask each time we needed to use it and it was switched off minutes later. This affected us slightly as we needed the WiFi to arrange transport and onward journeys.

Ultimately the room and location was great, but our stay was marred by feeling that we’d been tricked. The hosts should be much clearer about WiFi access being intermittent and be more open about their rates and room facilities.

I was pleasantly surprised by Paradise Inn. The room was much better quality than I was expecting. I think the photos they have uploaded dont really do the place justice. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is also amazing, walking distance to the road with a few restaurants to choose from and Lion rock. Highly recommended.

Travelling around Sri Lanka this was one of my fave places run by Milton and his lovely family. The room overlooked the family's paddy fields and in the distance Lions Rock. Its a great location to walk to the Lions Rock entrance for a sunrise or sunset climb (i would recommend sunset - less busy and do the other rock for sunrise) I ate dinner and breakfast (home made and delicious) in the open room looking out at wildlife and Milton has both a tuk tuk and car so there are options if you want to explore further. I can't recommend it enough. Its a total jewel.
