When I arrived at their hotel they said they don't have my room ready, despite my 2 emails and several phone calls during the day on 10th August. They offered me an inferior room without any sort of reduction in the rent for 10th August with the promise that they will give me my booked room next day. I must mention, they had one room that was better than the one I booked for and they offered it to me if and only if I paid them extra, where as they should have given that without any extra charge to cover for their mistake.
So they broke their commitment to give me my booked room, offered low-quality room without any compensation, and gave me the choice to get a better room if I paid more money when the mistake was clearly theirs.
On the next day when I asked for my room, they were trying to worm out of their promise and I was able to get my proper room only by threatening to leave their hotel.
Both the sub-standard room I had to stay on August 10 and the one I got from August 11th were dirty and smelled bad. The walls had smudges and spits on them and the blanket was horribly itchy and quite unusable. I had to buy a comforter myself to use instead.
I specifically booked that class of room for the free-wifi. The first day they forced me to stay in a room without wifi. On the second day, their wifi broke down and they did not even have a back. And as before they did even attempt to compensate/reimburse me for the facilities I did not get yet had to pay for.
Not only they caused me unexpected hassle and hardship with the room, they charged an extra 3% when I paid using my debit card instead of cash. Their only explanation was it is their policy to charge that 3% extra when payments are made by cards (credit/debit). But when they made the memo in their office pad, they wrote I paid only the amount agreed on (without the extra 3%). As it was shortly before I had to leave to catch my bus, I could not protest at length.
I am prepared to share the scanned copies of the papers I have from them (mentioned above) at any time.
