Where do I start.... I’m writing this, waiting for the coach, reluctantly to go back home!! Had an awesome holiday. These apartments exceeded my expectations!! We were greeted on the first night by Georgina who was lovely, she explained everything about the room, location and area. The room is small but beautifully done having just been renovated, with toaster, toastier maker, coffee maker, cafetière, hairdryer, iron, small ironing board!! Small modern safe & new low noise air conditioning that works really well. All the rooms face the sea so whichever room you get you’ll have a stunning view, which has to be one of the best on the island!? Our terrace had a small table, 2 chairs and 2 deck chairs which were really comfortable. Lovely quiet pool area, plenty of sun beds. Sometimes it just felt like being in a villa!! We had some lovely people staying at the same time as us too. There is no bar here only a vending machine where you can get drinks and snacks. The supermarket at the bottom of the hill....the 2 Greek owners are lovely!! They bring you & your shopping up if you spend over €20. The busses are great, they basically come every 15 minutes and bus top 9 is right outside the apartment but at certain times they get rammed!!!!!We found some lovely beaches, get of the bus at stop 22 (Martha beach) a small bay with a taverna, it’s beautiful!! Beach 16 is great for parasailing!!!! The Greek people have been so lovely again. I would come back in a heartbeat! Can you guess I don’t want to go home lol....
We always do a bit of research before booking our hols - my wife is particularly good at it - and I'm so glad she found Villa Anastasia, Location absolutely perfect - only 15 mins from the airport - 10 mins from Skiathos Town. We were greeted by Tolis ( I think ? ) on arrival and although we were a little late in the evening , around 9pm , he made us Very welcome, he showed us our room ( No.5 ) with views out across Achladies bay ( wish I'd packed my binoculars ) He sorted out the aircon and safe deposit box for us - I then asked where the supermarket was as we would need something for breakfast, he said 5 minutes walk down the road But insisted he would take us there in his own car ! Brilliant, the 3 of us jumped in and as we were only a few minutes he took us back up to the apartment - Wow !! Never had that sort of welcome in the past.
Woke up the following morning to lovely sunshine and sat out on the balcony for our breakfast - absolutely love breakfast alfresco. Wish we were still there.
Our apartment was a 2 bedroom one, very clean and although slightly dated, kitchen was well equipped ( even if the pots, crockery, knives and forks were a bit of a mismatch - so what ) we absolutely loved it here.
The swimming pool and surrounding areas were kept spotless and sunbeds were always available. Achladies beach is only 5 minutes walk away but as Villa Anastasia is set on the hillside just across the road - its a steep path there and back ! The beach has several tavernas and beach bars but our favourite was Paradise Beach Bar.
This was our first time to Skiathos and loved everything about it - we will definitely be returning and would recommend Villa Anastasia as a perfect place to stay.
Thank You and Happy Hols everyone.
We had a very enjoyable week at Anastasia, which is well placed for the excellent beach at Achladias and for Skiathos town. Cleanliness is excellent, and the pool area is spotless and relaxed. Our duplex apartment was a little tired - the kitchen area being particularly in need of updating. We were also disappointed that the mezzanine level wasn't more self contained - having neither a wardrobe nor light switches. The steep staircase is certainly not safe to negotiate in the dark. There are fabulous view from the comfortable chairs on the balcony. The aircon worked well, though due to a surprisingly rainy week wasn't required as much as expected. Closing the balcony shutters at night was effective in reducing traffic noise from the nearby road. The best way to the beach is down the steep lane opposite signposted to Water Sports. The handy supermarket at the bottom of the hill will deliver your food within 15 minutes (min spend 20€). A lot of the buses were full so we found it easier to flag a taxi to Skiathos (8-10€). In Achladias we would recommend the Paradise restaurant on the beach, where Lola the pet rabbit is a local celebrity. The best way to walk to Paradise is via the Achladias Apartments. It doesn't rain often on Skiathos, but if it does best to avoid going to Skiathos town as everybody else has the same idea, and there is very little undercover shelter. We really enjoyed our stay, and will have fond memories of the relaxing break we spent at Anastasia.
This hotel was fabulous- the room we stayed in had a wrap around balcony overlooking both the pool and the sea. Our room was lovely, spacious and was always cleaned every day- unexpected for a self catering apartment. My two friends and I stayed in a room together and it was perfect, two single beds on a mezzanine area and a double bed downstairs. The location is amazing- beautiful views, close to bus stop, close to acheladies beach which has a boat taxi to the main town. Would 100% recommend. Owner was also lovely, came a couple of times during the week to walk around and ask everyone how their holiday was going.
Thanks so much for a fab stay! Will be back for sure.
A most enjoyable short break here - our little girl loved her “dorm” upper room and being less than 15 seconds from the swimming pool!
We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the villa , beds made up each day and our living areas made spotless.
The garden grounds are also maintained immaculately, the grass could be found on a PGA tour golf club putting green!
Our cleaning staff were highly welcoming and even offered to porter our luggage as well as ensure we were able to make use of their restroom facilities on the final day after we checked out in the morning.
Thank you for your kind hospitality and making this trip truly memorable for us - we will return!
