My bestie and I had a lovely stay over all: beds very comfy, nice lay out of the room, very clean, good customer service. Nice, hot breakfast and appreciated the precautions taken to promote covid-19 safety measures. However, major points lost on the pool situation. which, btw, was the main reason we booked our stay at Hyatt place Glendale. First off, there is a very nondescript sign on the door with covid-19 safety precautions: in small letters it says 6 people on the pool but we did not even see that as we were entering the pool area. It would have been much better/suggested that they inform guests at check-in as none of this was mentioned upon arrival nor was there any other clear signage anywhere reminding guests of this policy. My bff and i were lounging at the far end of the pool (maintaining social distancing) from other families that were enjoying the pool around 7pm or so during record breaking heat in so cal. After being in the pool about an hour or so a hotel rep came and warned everyone there’s a 6 person max policy in the pool: well this really bummed everyone out! We all were fairly nice about it but it was disconcerting to say the least!!!!! Also the signage that is posted by the pool is VERY random: “55 people allowed on deck of the pool and 9 max load in the pool” huh?????? It is not a big pool area at all and i doubt you could comfortably fit 20-30 people around the pool let alone 55!!! And so like 9 people in the pool at a time???? How does that make any kind of sense????? Please re-visit your pool signage/policy to make it clearer to guests as this is a predominant reason why we (and others) chose Hyatt place glendale. Otherwise, very lovely hotel and staff!!
