As per any Embassy Suites we have been in over the multiple decades of traveling with kids, the grand lobby space was a signature element, with the water softly trickling in various pools at multiple levels and the glass elevators affording views of the entire space as you ascend to your room.
The little shop came in handy to purchase snacks and wine. Our room was spacious as usual, we had a problem with the noisy air going on and off all night and it was pretty noisy as of 5:30/6am with trash trucks and other large vehicles below our window. We did get the noisy air addressed and ES promptly took care of it.
We took advantage of the hot tub, which was nice. We also used the tiny fitness room, which is unfortunately not unlike other small fitness rooms at Embassy Suites we've stayed - I don't get why such a large hotel commits such a disproportionately small space to working out - and it was disappointing in the types of equipment that existed - no cable machine or any way to replicate pull ups; just handweights and cardio. We have stayed at several smaller boutique hotels with twice the amount of eqiupment in a similar space, so don't understand why Embassy Suites don't invest more in having additionally versatile options in their workout rooms.
The breakfast was the usual fare, which is nice and convenient, if not overly memorable in flavor or quality.
Overall, we've used Embassy Suites for the nice space in the suites, ease of included breakfast and a vacation-level workout. The free airport shuttle is also a plus; the $44 o/n parking was definitely not a plus.
But on the whole ES is dependable and this location was no different.
