If you are on campus for an event, you cant beat this location. The room is on the quality of a Hampton Inn. Coffee and water are in the lobby 24/7 along with Andes mints.
Front desk is helpful enough. Entrance looks like most other campus buildings so initially finding it can be tricky. Housekeeping is clean but lacks on emptying trash cans replacing light bulbs, stocking bathroom with ripped towels, etc.
Linens are decent quality though. Property is bound by Pepperdine no alcohol policy. If I were in Malibu, I would stay here again.
I was married at the Pepperdine Chapel and needed accommodations that allowed me to be close to the venue, but I didn't want to fight PCH. It's not a full-service hotel, so if luxury accommodations are what you're looking for, then book elsewhere. It's on the university campus, so there's no room service, etc. But my room was LOVELY, comfortable, quiet, and I watched deer and had an ocean view. Exactly what I wanted. A quiet night before my wedding.
Stayed late August 2 nights for Malibu wedding. The other reviews are accurate – very nice, good value for Malibu. Hotel rooms and lobby are within the Business Center; there’s no signage for the hotel and the way there has many twists and turns. The Tripadvisor map shows the location accurately. There must be a security risk that management would choose such an awkward wifi log-on, but it works fine once you’re on. Our 3rd floor room was ample, with large bathroom, walk-in shower, plus a large outside balcony with nice hillside views. Also, guests can use the glass-enclosed terrace with great views of ocean and Malibu hills. About 3 minutes from hotel to coast highway and about 7 to 10 minutes to Malibu restaurants, shops. Very safe area and hotel. I will definitely return here if in Malibu.
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend while attending our niece's wedding in Malibu. Very quiet, clean, comfortable room. We chose one of the ocean view rooms with a balcony. We travel fairly regularly and this was just the most serene stay. Only downside is that there are only queen beds. It would have been nice to have had a king. That said, we would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again. Special thanks to the very kind university staff person who actually lead us to the main cafeteria parking lot by having us follow his truck and then made sure we knew how to get to the right building. So helpful!!!
I booked this room because I didn't want to drive very far from the LA airport on our visit to the central coast. Of course, it is not a hotel but a conference center for Pepperdine U. The room was very nice. Only rooms with one queen bed are available,
We enjoyed our stay here, ate at nearby Tony's taverna (very good) and resumed our journey the next day. Only a few of the rooms have the fabulous view but i think it's worth it.
I insisted on eating breakfast in a student cafeteria, which was steps down the hall. I thought it would be good; it wasn't. Also, although we stayed in very nice accommodations on this trip, this was the most expensive room we stayed it. What can I say? Malibu is expensive.
