Front desk staff very helpful. Room was disgustingly dirty. After showers are feet were black from dirt. Smelt of cigarettes-not good during Covid. Had to check out a day early.
Since no breakfast due to Covid, spend time on sanitation.

Wondeful place and staff. Newly decorated room had quality touches. We especially liked the coffee maker. Fun conversations with staff, and enjoyed their breakfast. A pleasant little walk to the heart of town, or they're right on the trolley line. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was a perfectly nice non-chain hotel/motel in Ojai. It was better than expected and right for the price that we paid - at the end of the day, we had a clean room, clean towels, clean sheets and that's what we needed.

Pros: Location was nice (it's right next to two other hotels), room was large, people who worked the front desk were pleasant. Appreciated having a microwave that was accessible 24/7 in the lobby. Breakfast in the morning was basic - it was the same thing each day but appreciated it being there (bagels (small), toast, pre-made waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal, fruit (apples, oranges))

Cons: Water pressure was a dribble, really a bummer. Bathroom was awkward and small with the bathroom/toilet in a small room and sink outside of the bathroom. Towels never really got dry so we had to request new towels. They also use those wall soap containers but since the sink one is further away from the sink, we were constantly getting soap all over the counter. Housekeeping seemed a little light - I noticed some previous hairs/dust from before. And when they came in, they didn't seem to do much in the room. Heater/AC unit was quite loud - ran it one night and chose not to run it another night because it kept waking us up.

Quiet and clean motel property. Water pressure in room was very weak so showers were not very pleasant. Response to request for early check-in was met with a grumpy no gave us an initial bad customer service impression. Later when we checked in, front office attendant was much friendlier than earlier attendant.

Questions & answers about the rooms

Answer from mutes17

Shampoo/conditioner/body wash and hand soap is provided (they are in pumps mounted on the wall by the sink and in the shower). There was a small keurig machine in the room and a free breakfast from 7-10am (I believe that was the time) where there is coffee and tea. I want to say there was a hair dryer but not 100% sure. The hotel staff is very friendly, give them a call if you want exact details.

I was also in a ground floor room, 2 Queen beds....there may be a view from an upper story room...perhaps looking E or SE towards the mountains otherwise there really isn't a lot of 'view'. Staff is helpful, soI would suggest trying to call or e-mail and ask what types of views are available in the second story rooms, and their size.
