My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for many reasons. First of all, its location is so convenient to so much. It's right across the street from an In and Out Burger and next door to an Outback, and within walking distance of two large strip malls, both with plenty of shopping(Ralphs, Marshalls, Ross, Nike Clearance Outlet Store, among others) and restaurants. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable and all of the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The free breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of choices, some of which changed daily, from omelets and sausage and freshly made waffles, to oatmeal, yogurt, fresh pressed green juice and smoothies. The fitness center was a little spartan, but functional and clean. Two treadmills, an elliptical and a recumbent bike, with free weights, a stability ball, an incline bench and a step with risers. Just enough for a good workout. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were clean and heated...loved the jacuzzi especially! Our room had plenty of outlets(a rarity) and the bed was comfortable. All day long, fruit infused water was served in the lobby, along with several varieties of coffee, 24/7. In the evening, the staff put out freshly baked chocolate chip cookies..so good!! Oh, almost forgot, very close to interstate 5 and plenty of free parking! A great value...this will probably be our home away from home when we visit Santa Clarita!
Great hotel and staff. Upon our arrival we were given 6 bottles of water and our choice of a candy. The room(s) were great. We were on the first floor so we were close to the pool and hot tub. The breakfast in the morning was great. We were able to find something for every one. On our last day the grand kids answered the trivia question that was by the front desk. This hotel is close to several eating establishments also. I would stay here again if I am ever in So. Cal again.
Everything about this property we loved. From the text message checking in on ya prior to our arrival, to the friendly staff and clean pool. We stayed with other family friends and we were all so impressed with this property. The rooms had great pillows and linens. The shower had a great nonslip floor and the closet was a compact and chic alternative to bulky closets at other locations. The pool was super clean and had clean towels and a towel return outside, which made it very convenient. We quickly overlooked the remodeling happening around us with the updated rooms and overall decor of the hotel. This is one of the best complimentary breakfasts we’ve had at no additional cost. As a person who has food restrictions, I was happy to see many options for myself and for my family who eats a more traditional breakfast. Also the location right off the highway was great for the multiple trips we made.
Good location and nice pool area with the exception of some bees. Room was not too clean as we usually would expect. Bed was comfortable and the staff was exceptional. Breakfast still is too sugary and not healthy enough for this day and age.
Renovations were in progress during my visit, many of the rooms have already been completely renovated, and the lobby area is nearly finished (maybe just a few days out) as of June 5, 2019. Staff bends over backwards to accommodate here, which is nice. I was able to switch from a freeway side room to a backside room without any issue. Breakfast is pretty standard for Hampton Inn offerings. Rooms that face 1-5 will have freeway noise all day, however rooms in the other wing that face the back of the property, known as backside hillside are very quiet. Walls are insulated better than other Hamptons, so there is less room to room noise than would be expected. Pool view rooms in the other wing are also quieter than the freeway side, especially if there are few patrons at the pool, which closes at 10 anyway. Since this is an older property, there is no overhead lighting, so rooms can be a little dark with just one window and lamps, depending on the time of day. There are several places to eat within walking distance. Outback Steakhouse is next door, Inn-n-Out is across the street, and a fantastic sushi place, Kinza, is in the unassuming strip mall in the hillside right above the hotel. Very convenient to Magic Mountain,College of the Canyons, shopping and other restaurants in driving distance. Free parking with a good sized lot.
