Made a quickie trip to Yuma, Colorado to pick up a dealer trade vehicle. Read some of the reviews on the Harvest Motel and made reservations, WOW, this place is cool. Super clean and great ambiance was quiet and the room was well furnished with a flat-screen TV, Frig, and microwave. The rooms had been updated with new carpet and upgraded bath. Yep, I'll stat there again
Stayed here twice while working in Yuma. It’s easy to call and make a reservation. Kasia is a terrific owner/manager and does a great job. The place is super clean and quiet; even though it’s on a main road, there’s really just some truck traffic at night and that is not a big deal. Each room I stayed in had a fridge/freezer (not the tiny size, but one step up from that) and microwave. Breakfast is pretty basic but you can find something to suit most tastes. There’s a restaurant across the street and a supermarket very close by. Haven’t tried the hot tub or the bbq grill, but both are available. The motel is pet friendly.
Stayed here 6 nights. After tax & AAA discount, price was $82 per night. Room was clean & spacious. Included a small table, desk, 2 chairs, dresser, good sized mini fridge with freezer section. AC worked well. No hair dryer or iron. Wi-fi was pretty decent; I streamed several hour long videos with no problem. Lighting was not the best, & there were only 2 pillows. It was pretty quiet even when the motel was full. Breakfast included yogurt, toast, cereal, oatmeal, juice. There was a coin operated washer & dryer. There was a hot tub, but we never used it. All in all, it's not a luxurious place, but it's kind of homey. The Main Event (restaurant) is right across the street.
This place is wonderful. The rooms are all different, well decorated, with wonderfully comfortable beds. Our room had a table and chairs, a microwave and a fairly large apartment sized fridge. The owners are so welcoming and they really bend over backwards for their guests. They are Christians and have a lot of Christian decorations and a bookcase in the hallway with Christian books. I had no problem with this as I am a Christian. If this puts you off, know that they do not push any of this on you. Their complementary breakfast is varied with donuts, cold and hot cereals, sandwiches, yogurt, and other tasty selections, along with coffee and tea. During our visit, we had three rooms for our various family members. My brother and family called ahead of time and asked whether they could park their RV in the parking lot and use the motel's electricity and offered to pay the price of a room. The lady who owns the place told him there would be no charge. When they showed up the lady actually welcomed them in person and told them to feel free to use the motel's public restroom and shower - and even help themselves to the breakfast items. They didn't avail themselves of these things but the fact that they were offered to them so graciously really tells a great story about this wonderful place. We plan to return to Yuma next year and will stay at the Harvest again for sure.
On main st. as you travel through town. Staff very pleasant, room clean and comfy. Basic room, no frills, but I enjoyed my stay. Could use a soap tray in the shower, had to place soap on the floor. Not a lot of outlets for all my stuff but I made it work by unplugging the clock. Could use in room coffee, but they do offer some in the front lobby area.
