Date of stay: November 2019
We were lucky enough to have 5 nights in one of the fabulous Copper Creek cabins using my dvc points.
The cabins are very high end. There are extensive reviews of what the cabins comprise of on Disney boards.
We were a group of 5. Two couples and a single adult. I would not recommend any more than that unless the 6th person is a child who can sleep in the pull down bed in the second bedroom. We had cabin 8005 which was just perfect for viewing the monorail and magic kingdom fireworks. I would say any of 8001-8005 would be good for fireworks view. 8005 was also near to the dvc car park and not too far from the boat transportation. And the Wilderness Lodge lobby. So I would go as far as saying 8005 is one of the best located cabins.
The cabins are very new and the dvc housekeeping do a great job of servicing the apartment before your stay. One thing to remember is that there is only towel change once every 4 days but they collect the rubbish daily.
The cabin has every bell and whistle you can think of. And a points price to go with it. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience due to the cost. The cabins go for $1500+ if paying cash through the Disney system.
The Wilderness Lodge was just spectacular with all the Christmas decorations going up on 18th November. The tree is just made for that vast lobby.
I did online check in but when we arrived in Orlando our room had still not been allocated at 6pm. So I rang them and asked them to allocate it. Luckily they gave me room 8005 which I had requested through Touring Plans service.
We cooked a few times. It is handy to have the cooking facilities to defray some costs. You can borrow barbecue gear and the barbecue was just near cabin 8005.
We enjoyed the spa pool which was very nice and warm. We also appreciated the mesh screens on the porch.
A couple of things that could improve the cabin would be black out of the window above the front door. The person who is sleeping in the lounge does not have full blackout of light in the morning.
Also in the Copper Creek cabin manual they need to indicate better where the extraction can switch is. For those from outside the US - the extraction fan on/off switch is located on the bottom right of the microwave. Not obvious to us at first.
All in all a very memorable stay in some of the most luxurious accomodation Disney has to offer.
Room Tip: For Fireworks view and near boat transport 8001-8005 are good.
