The slide isn’t anything spectacular, but my kids loved it (13 and 9). You can find pictures online if that helps.

This was our very first visit to our home property at Copper Creek. We absolutely loved it! It is just a short trip by boat to Magic Kingdom, and the bus loading zone had screens depicting the next arrival times for the buses to the parks. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous, and the pools seem so secluded matching the atmosphere of being in the wilderness. We are already planning our next trip back!

This property was modeled after the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park. The plantings, woodwork, fireplaces with rocking chairs will have you believing that you’re not in Orlando. The rooms are a bit generic but spacious and clean. Always updated and renovated. The pool areas were nice and the erupting geyser by the pool gave a nod to to Old Faithful.
We were impressed and love this property!

From the moment you step into the lobby prepare to be amazed! It is simply stunning! The detail that is put into this place is inspiring. We stayed in a 2 br villa that had all the amenities to it that you would feel at home for the week. Room 5131 overlooked the pool and falls and the boys loved watching the geyser go off. It was our perfect home away from home!

My husband and I stayed here (our home resort) for a split stay and I am so happy is was our second half! This location is so convenient to magic kingdom! We had never been there prior to buying but we were so pleasantly surprised and fell in love with it! The lodge is absolutely beautiful! The pools leave a little to be desired when we bring our kids but for just the two of us, it was wonderful. We stayed in a super convenient room right next to the pool and the lakeside bar. I can. We had 2 issues and they were both addressed right away. I ended up locking us out of the bathroom by accident and the staff who came to reopen it for us was awesome! Everyone was awesome! I can’t wait to go back and stay with my kids. We visited it on our trip a few weeks back to show the kids where we will be staying next year and they are so excited!

Hi there, Vanessa! Thank you for telling us all about your stay at the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This new idyllic retreat evokes a rustic-elegant vibe — a perfect nod to the rich and pioneering heritage of the Pacific Northwest. It's wonderful to know your stay was both "lovely and convenient." Just like you mentioned in your review, I especially love the location of this Resort! The main lobby of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is just steps away, so whether it’s a night spent relaxing by the lobby’s 82-foot-tall layered stone fireplace, or venturing out to delight in the near endless action of the close by Magic Kingdom Park, there is so much for our Guests staying at the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins to experience. I'd like to apologize for the two issues you mentioned, though I am delighted to know our Cast Members addressed these situations efficiently and courteously. It makes me so happy to know our Cast Members provided you with the level of Guest service Disney is so known for. It truly seems this Resort is a perfect fit for your family! See you next time in the great outdoors! Kim Disney Social Reviews

We were lucky enough to have 5 nights in one of the fabulous Copper Creek cabins using my dvc points.
The cabins are very high end. There are extensive reviews of what the cabins comprise of on Disney boards.

We were a group of 5. Two couples and a single adult. I would not recommend any more than that unless the 6th person is a child who can sleep in the pull down bed in the second bedroom. We had cabin 8005 which was just perfect for viewing the monorail and magic kingdom fireworks. I would say any of 8001-8005 would be good for fireworks view. 8005 was also near to the dvc car park and not too far from the boat transportation. And the Wilderness Lodge lobby. So I would go as far as saying 8005 is one of the best located cabins.

The cabins are very new and the dvc housekeeping do a great job of servicing the apartment before your stay. One thing to remember is that there is only towel change once every 4 days but they collect the rubbish daily.

The cabin has every bell and whistle you can think of. And a points price to go with it. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience due to the cost. The cabins go for $1500+ if paying cash through the Disney system.

The Wilderness Lodge was just spectacular with all the Christmas decorations going up on 18th November. The tree is just made for that vast lobby.

I did online check in but when we arrived in Orlando our room had still not been allocated at 6pm. So I rang them and asked them to allocate it. Luckily they gave me room 8005 which I had requested through Touring Plans service.

We cooked a few times. It is handy to have the cooking facilities to defray some costs. You can borrow barbecue gear and the barbecue was just near cabin 8005.

We enjoyed the spa pool which was very nice and warm. We also appreciated the mesh screens on the porch.

A couple of things that could improve the cabin would be black out of the window above the front door. The person who is sleeping in the lounge does not have full blackout of light in the morning.

Also in the Copper Creek cabin manual they need to indicate better where the extraction can switch is. For those from outside the US - the extraction fan on/off switch is located on the bottom right of the microwave. Not obvious to us at first.

All in all a very memorable stay in some of the most luxurious accomodation Disney has to offer.

Questions & answers about the pool

Answer from kcalcan
Mar 2018 |
Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge use the same pools. Besides the cabins, Copper Creek villas right in the Wilderness Lodge building so have the same lobby as the Wilderness Lodge, so maybe that’s why it seems like the photos are from Boulder Ridge, but all the photos on here look to me to be from Copper Creek
