I have stayed twice at Tourne this year, once recently as a paying guest, and earlier in the year, I hired it as a retreat venue to bring clients to. Both times the service and level of care given towards guests was impeccable! The food is always lovingly prepared, varied in tastes and styles, consisting of locally sourced and organic food where possible, including veg from their own gardens. The retreat participants all enjoyed staying there, with one booking straight away to return to Tourne on holiday a month later.
The house oozes character and charm, with all the bedrooms en-suite and comfortably furnished. We used the large practice hall as a workshop space for the retreat, which worked really well. The house and its beautiful river-fronted garden, are set in a wooded valley in the foothills of the Pyrenees. A beautiful natural environment, with great walks from the doorstep, a slower pace to life, a feeling of wildness but with the convenience of St Giron, and the beautiful regional centre of Foix within half an hours drive.
Highly recommended place to stay, makes you want to go back whenever you can!

We booked this B n B as a first stop from Carcasonne airport to travel across the pyrennes, i am sorry i never stayed longer, the place is perfect and the Paula and Ram are brilliant friendly people, the food was fantastic and they made sure we were all looked after, the rooms were en suite,
The dogs and cats are great entertainment and very friendly, if i went back to France i would make sure i stayed a week here,
Really hope i get to go back at some stage,
It felt like we were leaving 2 good friend behind when we left,

I just returned from another visit to Tourne and it just gets better and better. An ensuite room with comfortable double bed and immaculately clean, modern bathroom, wonderful characterful old house with some really interesting art on the walls, friendly hosts who are great cooks focussing on freshness and local ingredients (including from their own garden), an incredibly tranquil feel to the place, two friendly and calm dogs to play or walk with and very sweet cats. And not the mention the gardens, sitting by the river refreshes the mind brilliantly. A wonderful place for a peaceful few days.

A kilometer up a one-lane road to a place of exceptional peace and quiet. The owners, Paula and Ram, were very welcoming. Large, airy room. Ram is a great chef! Enjoyable 4-course meal though all the guests were English speaking so did not have the opportunity the practice my less than perfect French.

I recently had a week-long stay at Tourne' and can't say enough good things about the house, the gardens, and especially the owners Paula and Ram and their son Jiva. My room and en suite bathroom were large and comfortable, and the sound of the river running outside added to the sense of peace and tranquility. I enjoyed the generous breakfast each morning (cereal, yogurt, croissants/bread) and also treated myself to dinner there a few nights -- delicious.

As a solo traveler, I very much appreciated how warm and welcoming Paula and Ram were. Tourne' truly felt like a home away from home! There's plenty to do in the area (caves, castles, museums, mountain hikes) and you can also take a nice walk on some trails that go right by the house. I hope to go back someday with family and/or friends to share this lovely B&B in the Pyrenees.
