Feb 25 2012 My mother and I went to visit there. We had done have a very bad experience with Super 8 down the road. With Roaches in the in bed. However, we wanted to stay an extra night and went to Budget Inn Express in Louisa Ky. We got the around 10 ish in the morning. The door to the lobby was locked with a sign to ring for service for the night service. I pused that button several times. No one came to the window so we thought well maybe they had to go out for something. We then just drove around for about a hour just looking around. Come back still no one there. Not even a car in the parking lot so I thought to myself maybe they have closed down ( which they really need to do ). We went and got lunch and come back one last time and the door was unlocked. The lady that checked me in so insuring me their rooms where clean. Because, I just told her about the experience with the roaches in Super 8. Well she put us in room 220 I beleive it was. I unlock the room my mother goes in and says why is there 2 Tvs in here. One stacked on top the other. I have no idea to why there was 2 tvs in the room. We take a fast look around before bring any of our belongings in the room. It was the NASTIEST hotel room I have ever seen in my life. We had double beds. One of the beds had White "powder" poured all over it. The Room smelled terrible. There was ashes in the floor in the bathroom and hairs in the tub. My mother pulled the cover back on the other bed and there was hair all over the sheet as though it wasnt ever changed from who ever stayed there before. I picked up the phone called the front desk the lady told me i will be a new bed spread i said ah no we dont want this room so she took me in to show me another room which was just as nasty. I then told her to give my money back I would go somewhere else. .
You never ever should stay at this hotel......Nasty carpet that feels awful under your feet. The smell of the roon is awful. The fridge didn't work. The TV is ancient. The landscape around the building is terrible. When I asked about internet the desk told me that only in some of the rooms. I asked for a room with internet and when I got that room it didn't have internet the whole time I was there. I only stayed one night and left. I checked into another motel (the Super 8) which was so much better. They need to condemn that building. The Budget Inn is NOT somewhere someone should stay.........PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I will NEVER EVER stay there again. Thank God they are building a new motel across from the Super 8. That is supposed to be a Best Western. They are going to have a lot of ammenities and when the Super 8 is packed they will have space. I hope Louisa will close the Budget Inn.
Telephone service had been out for over a week; wireless internet was unavailable, due to telephone outage.
Security lock on door was broken; I blocked door with as much furniture as I could.
Broken ironing board.
No clock or clock radio. When I asked for wakeup call, I was told that since telephone service was out, someone would come and knock on my door. No one did, but phone did ring for wakeup.
Frig had 2-3 inches of ice. Door gasket was almost detached.
Housekeeping changed towels, but did not clean up coffee pot, make bed, or general cleanup.
Door keycards had to be redone 3 times before they worked.
Coffee pot in room, with no coffee packets or creamer; when I asked for coffee at front desk, clerk sent someone upstairs to get, came back with 4 packets of decaf, no regular (packets were sticky).
Found tray with nacho cheese sauce in dresser drawer.
Trash in parking lot and in corridors; weeds overtaking landscaping; trash cans outside were overflowing.
LOUD fight in parking lot.
HUGE trucks parked in extremely small parking lot.
I do NOT recommend it to anyone else. I will be filing complaint with corporate office.
