Got a room for the night. The room was clean but was in the breezeway and didn’t feel completely safe. The breezeway was dark until the lights came about an hour after sunset and they turned off before sunrise.
The free breakfast was not too good. Sausage was tough where it was overheated in the warmer. The biscuits were dry and seemed old. The scrambled eggs were good. They didn’t have any milk so people had left bowls of cereal on counter and tables. Tried making a waffle but everything stuck In the maker even after spraying. The breakfast room is quite small and one table you can’t get to if others are sitting at the other two tables. Would have rated higher if it wasn’t for the poor breakfast.
Upon arrival, the clerk at the front desk informed me they had run out of card keys. (what?? a hotel that has no keys for guest's rooms?) The desk clerk tried to make light of it and said the construction people forget to turn in keys when they check out. She said I would have to contact the person at the front desk to escort me to get back into my room if I had to go out. When we got to the room, it had a terrible smoking odor and an ashtray on the table. I had specifically booked a non-smoking room thru the Corporate Lodging Company. The clerk said there were "no notes" saying the room needed to be non-smoking. I called Corp Lodging and they said it was supposed to be non-smoking, but here I was in a smoking room. Somebody messed up but no one took responsibility! The hotel was full and by this time, 9:45pm, the nearest hotel was 45-60 minutes away in Ohio. I had an early morning appt so this was not an option. I have stayed here in the past on business but this visit will be THE LAST. There was no offer for compensation and no apology from Corp Lodging or Quality Inn. In a follow-up email with Corporate Lodging (the room was booked thru them), they would not give any compensation (even though they make $$$ on their service) but said I could contact the hotel to dispute it. Both Quality Inn and Corporate Lodging lack customer service. To be fair to the gal at the front desk, she was able to track down a card key before the next morning and brought it to my smoky room. I expect more from Quality Inn and Corp Lodging doesn't seem to care about its clients.
As gold members,we always seek out choice hotels and this was the only one in this vicinity. We got room 110 in the breezeway. Opened the door and immediately saw it was outdated and dingy. I didn't think anything of it since this was a cheap room. However, the dirty wash rag in the bathroom floor, the used bar soap with hair on it in the shower, the dead bugs in the bathroom floor and the nonfunctional air conditioner were just all too much. No way would I ever stay here again.
My room was clean and so was the premises. My room was clean. I didn’t have a reservation, but the lady got me a ground floor room which was helpful. Went and got coffee a few different times during my stay, it was either empty or when they actually had coffee, it was cold. Internet was terrible. The strength was pulsating or not even showing up the whole time I was there. I should have logged onto Best Western’s it always showed up and had a strong signal. The office/lobby in the morning hand about eight people who work there in some way or another and made it difficult to check out. No I wouldn’t stay here again.
Had two nights here on a recent visit with family in the Maysville area, The rooms are well furnished and comfortable and the staff rocks. My husband left his treasured leather jacket in our room. Eden, at the front desk, was super helpful in getting it packaged up and shipped back to us. Definitely recommend this place if your travels find you in the Maysville area.
