This little motel is clean and has a beautiful setting. It is situated right behind the tidal river with row boats and kayaks to use during high tide. Or you can walk across to the beach access during low tide when the tidal river clears out. I would say this could be a tough walk for someone with unstable footing though. The owners were very pleasant and shared information about the area. They had a very good system upon check in to meet the Covid procedures. The rooms are not updated but clean, presentable and met our needs for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The pool and grounds are specious and the motel's location was ideal. Great place to stay! I would definitely come back and choose this location again.

Not a 5-Star joint, but definitely worth the price paid! Very friendly staff and the room was very clean as well. The rooms are “half-outdated” for lack of a better explanation. For example, newer dresser, TV, Table and beds, but fridge is old and it looks like they did some remodeling which left some strange cuts in the flooring and trim. The bathroom sink is an odd setup as well, likely a casualty of the remodeling. That said, still a very nice place. The pool is big... I mean like HUGE, and very VERY clean. Lots of room to hang out on the patio. Very family friendly. Plenty of parking, quiet, and good views of the ocean even though it’s not right “on the beach”. We also had a private balcony overlooking the pool (with the ocean in the background). Beds are comfy, A/C worked great, The price per night compared to lots of other properties in the area is very good as well. Office closes at 9:30, but I believe the owners do live on site. Lots of cameras and adequate lighting outside so it is quite safe from what I can see. If you’re looking for a place to stay with (some) ocean views but don’t want to break the bank, check out this place!

Just stayed here for 4 days with my husband, my 1 and 4 year old sons and our dog. Our room was clean, had a well stocked kitchenette and the air conditioning worked really well. Beds were comfortable, furniture was clean and the bathroom and shower were clean as well. The management/staff here are amazing. They are friendly and accommodating of their guests. Given COVID, they always wore masks when interacting with guests and the pool was cleaned each morning, including all the chairs and railings, etc. Also because of COVID, we were aware that there would be no daily housekeeping which was fine. We just asked for what we needed each morning and they provided it to us. We took our trash out front and the staff took it away for us. No complaints other than a few other guests who had seem to have forgotten how to be socially distant. The pool is huge so even with people there it wasn't hard to maintain your distance. The kayaks were fun and available right on site. The property is in a good location, walking distance to many restaurants and the downtown area which has plenty of stores and shops. Half a mile walk to Footbridge Beach as well - or you could walk across to the beach from the hotel at low tide. This is our second stay here and we will be back again. Thanks Nagina & family for another wonderful Maine getaway.

DISGUSTING, MOLD, RUST AND HAIR SLUDGE...STAY AWAY.... FAR AWAY.

DISGUSTING, MOLD, RUST AND HAIR SLUDGE...STAY AWAY.... FAR AWAY.
We just came back, my husband and I. We were there from Sunday, August 26, 2018 to Saturday, September 1, 2018. The total was $945.69 usd. for a queen efficiency, room number 35.
This property is so DISGUSTING there was MOLD in the bathroom , the tub was filthy, old caulking around the bathtub and the sink underneath was wide open, no tiles, just unfinished stained, ROTTED WOOD and lots of MOLD'' Is is not healthy for anyone to breath any of this mold. The kitchenette was old and dirty, and the burners were so stained and disgusting with RUST and MOLD that I did not dare to use it to cook anything on it. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The carpets were stained as was the ceiling. The front door had old paint the was peeling off. The pool was open with parts of cement and tile falling off. Disgusting'' The Jacuzzi hot tub had broken knobs and overall was gross and unsanitary and so was the indoor pool. Gross and simply repulsive'''
For the almost $945.69 usd we spent to stay there I should have looked harder! We will never ever go back''' Never'''
Simply sickening and horrendous'''

Hello, THIS GUEST STAYED WITH US IN SEPTEMBER 2018. THIS IS A YEAR OLD REVIEW THAT THE GUEST IS RE-POSTING AGAIN...... WE HAVE ALSO RESPONDED TO THIS REVIEW LAST YEAR; Response from ColonialVillage, Manager at Ogunquit Tides Formerly Colonial Village Resort Responded Sep 3, 2018 Thank you for being our guest. You stayed for 6 days and not even once did you come to the front desk and inform us that you weren't happy with the room. We would have either given you a free upgrade or checked you out with a refund. We are in midst of renovations and our outdoor pool was just renovated this year in June. Our outdoor hot tub and indoor hot tub are brand new. Once again thank you for staying with us and we appreciate your candor. Regards, Manager - Ogunquit Tides
