Room review highlights
I stayed at this hotel while on a tour so I can’t comment on the price or value. The room I had was quite nice, with a large bed (very firm), a wardrobe, a TV and a couple of chairs. Lighting was good, with an overhead light plus a reading lamp on a nightstand. The main room had nice wood...
Hotel was nice, people were nice, we ate dinner here, which was good. Room was large, bed was large, a bit hard. Everything is good, wifi was good. Only thing its about 10 -15 minutes walk into the town. While there is not much in the town, I'm just saying.
This is a bit fancier than your typical backpacker hangout, though still a guesthouse. A bit more expensive too, the room was about $24 for two, breakfast included. It's a little south of town, a bit too far too walk unless you really like walking. But still on the main road through Luang Namtha. ...

Lighting was good, with an overhead light plus a reading lamp on a nightstand. The main room had nice wood flooring while the bathroom had a tile floor. There was hot water but it ran out fast. Air conditioning was available but was not used as the weather was cool. There is no heat in the room but there was adequate bedding. Breakfast and dinner were included as part of the tour. Breakfast was adequate (fried eggs or an omelet, bread with jam), dinner was very good. Some noise from the street but it quieted down at night. About a 15-minute walk from the center of town.

This is a bit fancier than your typical backpacker hangout, though still a guesthouse. A bit more expensive too, the room was about $24 for two, breakfast included. It's a little south of town, a bit too far too walk unless you really like walking. But still on the main road through Luang Namtha.

Nice hallway with wooden floor led to the rooms on the second floor. Rooms were nicely furnished, not luxurious, but rustic-looking furniture, lots of wood. Shuttered windows that in our case opened onto the shared balcony at the front of the guesthouse. Bottle of drinking water included. There's no separation between the shower and toilet, same floor, but it's a big bathroom.

The ground floor is a big open-air, covered restaurant that's a nice place. It's near the main road, but blocked by bushes and there's so little traffic, it's fine. Breakfast served here, I don't know about other meals. There was some sort of Internet availability in a separate building, but I didn't check it out to see how well it worked.

This is a good choice, but you'll have to make your way to town to find other restaurants and tour agencies.
