We usually head to OC but due to Covid we wanted something on a smaller scale and the Inn was exactly what we were looking for! Loved our second floor room, it was large, updated and very clean and provided us a pack n play and air mattress for our 3 kids! Only issue we ran into with the second floor was we had a crawling infant and no baby gate. We made due with stacking the 2 kitchen chairs lol. Other then that we loved our room and location! The beach is very nice and all the amenities were amazing and enjoyed!!! The pool was even better! Loved the music and pool side service!!!! Lastly we really loved the diner across the street. The perfect spot for breakfast every morning and even had a great dinner there one night! We did lunch at the pool side service each day! Amazing! And we left the resort for skippers to get crabs and they were also delicious! We would definitely come back again as a family of 5 or even as a couples vacation!

First time staying here and I will NOT be back. First of all, if you get a bottom room, you WILL HEAR EVERYTHING ABOVE YOU. It was peaceful and quiet for the first hour we were there, then we had a GROUP of people staying in the suite above us check in. Nothing but loud music, loud talking and stomping all over the floor. This lasted from about 6pm til 3am! The porch is shared so they sat there and smoked their marijuana the next morning and throughout the day. I am shocked none of this got reported until the following evening when there was yelling and screaming and what sounded like wrestling between men and women, and horrific banging on doors. At this point, I was terrified and just stayed in my room. An hour of this went by, and then quiet. Then the police showed up at my door investigating. WHAT A GREAT TIME HERE.

In a nutshell we loved this hotel. Going in July on a weekend you’re paying premium, so it was pricey (for me) but here’s why it is worth it:
The hotel is small but super lovely, with gorgeous landscaping with many flowers everywhere, well lit paths to walk in with many hidden little garden corners with a bench where you can sit privately, and breathe fresh air like in a fairy garden.
The check-in room is very small but connected to a ‘sunroom’ decorated with a coastal vibe, comfy, full of light with view of their private beach.
They have their own restaurant Ketch 22, which offers lunch and dinner, while the Chesapeake Market and Deli by the parking offers that and breakfast (and essentials and spirits, because it’s also a tiny market). TBH, while the hotel restaurant has hotel prices, the food was a hit or big miss and I did not feel like spending 15$ a pop to try new food when the Chesapeake Deli has a full menu, very well priced and everything we had was delicious.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean. It seems some rooms have different decor, some nicer than others but still, the room we got at the last minute was very nice, welcoming, cool and soothing. The bathroom decor and tiles were outdated but extremely clean, and they have free makeup remover stuff!
The outside of the room were decorated like little cottages, with high pointed ceilings, fake cottage windows and a rocking chair by the entrance. The private beach was close and visible from the door, making for a very relaxing view.
Inside the room there were two windows one opposite walls so the room was full of natural light. However the wooden curtains kept it pretty dark if you wanted the room dark.
The staff was friendly and obliging. Parking was free, as well as the use of beach sports stuff like kayaks and paddle board which, when you have to pay for it in other places, you can easily pay 30$ for 30 minutes. They also included beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach. So, that made the price for the stay worth it, too. The pool looked big, and open and fun, and it had a life guard but we didn’t go because Covid. Most guests used masks as it was required by the hotel, and every staff member wore it.
Their private beach was very nice. It is not a white sand beach with clear waters, but it does the job. The fact that you can easily come and go from your room to the beach because they’re so near is the best!
Some suggestions I have are that the restaurant should make smoothies... it was hot as blazes this weekend (110’) and they would have sold a lot of those if they made them... another thing is having drinks delivered to the beach. They’d make a pretty penny going around delivering all kinds of drinks to the beach goers on non-pandemic times! Last, they should have pens on the room, I wanted to write a thank you note to the housekeeper along with the tip, and I couldn’t because I didn’t bring any pens with me.
That’s it. I hope I gave enough details to inform others. We recommend this hotel and hope to be back again someday.

An easy drive from DC, we really enjoyed getting away here. Very pretty gardens, quiet spot to watch the boats go in and out. We enjoyed the pool and standup paddle boards. We had a renovated room that was modern and spacious. All good things.

Right on the Chesapeake Bay, this is an adorable little inn. The rooms were clean and had all the essentials. They actually give you a real key for your room! If we would have gotten a room with a king bed I would have given it 5 stars. The two bed room we had was two full beds and they are not long enough for my husband.

The Market across the street had good food and was very convenient. We will definitely stay here again.
