My wife and I booked a room for two nights to be close to the area attractions. One either stays here -- back in Albuquerque or Grants. We found the hotel very nice and VERY reasonably priced. Big room, big bathroom, big soft beds, big beautiful pool area, HD TV, free wifi with a restaurant and casino at your disposal. I did not notice a smoke smell as some have stated or above-average noise level.
After battling endless construction on I-40 - I needed to find a place to stay. I checked on-line and nearly all the hotels in Grants were booked - but Sky City popped up with vacancies and a good rate.
I agree with other posters- the whole place is smokey- but my room was NOT. The rooms are large, have a comfortable bed, very clean and quiet.
They have a small workout room and a nice pool.
I was most impressed by the excellent customer service. Quick check in, friendly service at the restaurant, and in the morning- the best coffee I had the whole drive (DC to AZ.)
If you have any issues with cig smoke- do not stay here. Otherwise- it’s great!
I had never been to a hotel or motel like this. The vibe was a lot like a roadside hotel. The room was small but clean and comfortable. They do not allow guests to bring in any alcohol or pets. There is a small snack bar on site that serves soda and fried foods until about 1am. The pool closes at 9 and opens at 9. They have a strict check out at 11am. I asked if we could check out later so that we could have more time at the pool and they said no. I also asked if we could pay to upgrade to a room with a balcony and they said no--because we'd booked via Expedia this apparently was not possible. You are not allowed to take any pictures in the casino. I felt like there were a lot of rules here--a little less chill than most of the places I have stayed. The fun part of this spot was the Sky Lounge at the Casino--a fun, friendly bar with live music that was open till late, and the one spot in town you could drink and dance. The bar allows smoking, which was different for a New Yorker like me. There is a McDonald's right next to the hotel which is where we had breakfast the next day. Our room had a fridge in it, which was nice for storing water and other snacks. I do not think I would return, but it was good for a fun night before sightseeing at the Acoma Pueblo.
I had a lovely four room suite at Sky City casino hotel for only $130! The bedroom had a comfy soft bed, flat screen TV, and the window opened for fresh air. The bathroom had a jetted tub, vanity, good hygiene products, hair dryer, and nice bathrobes. The little kitchen had a fridge, sink, microwave, and kuerig coffee pot. The living room had a flat screen TV, and private balcony.
I don't gamble, but the casino looked nice to me, and not as smoky as other reviews say. The property also has a nice outdoor swimming pool and hot tub.
Very friendly check-in and well-kept building. Interesting historic photos of Acoma Pueblo throughout the hotel. Nice little gift shop. Very quiet in my room at night.
The hotel Restaurant was just okay, but very reasonably priced.
Gorgeous inside & outside. Didn't get to enjoy the all amenities but did stroll around the grounds. There's one or more restaurants, a casino, and a very nice pool/jacuzzi deck. The rooms were comfortable & clean when we stayed. Excellent McDonald's nearby.
