Taken long time to write review as been in discussion with Olympic to get back monies spent to move ourselves. Not met found by GPS. No greeting. 1st room dark and dinghy. 2nd room bugs In bed that jumped when touched. 3rd room looked onto a concrete wall. We have been holidaying in greece for 40 years and NEVER had such a complete disaster. No reps. On phone they were unhelpful and rude. Received no info for return transport 7 telephone calls to emergency number... No answer! Wasn't a happy anniversary. No owner. No reps.

just spent a week here from 19th August,a room at the front of the building. We have spent many holidays in various Greek locations, Aghi Effima is a beautiful village with many good and reasonably priced restraunts.Yes there is a noisy dog/s at the 'not busy street corner', but they being residents 365 days of the year could we expect them to remove their dog to accomodate our holiday ? hardly. The staff in the apartments were friendly and sociable, we not being Greek speakers and now that Jan is involved in the apartments any minor grievances we feel will be addressed. We look forward to going back again, hopefully soon.

Violatos Apts are basic but clean and in themselves not below the standard you'd expect if used to greek studio accomodation. However if looking for peaceful do not book to stay here. Building works and a loud generator commence at 8.30am Mon to Saturday. Sunday is the only morning it stops. When moved to a front facing room we then had the joy of fairly busy side road traffic until around 4am and again waking us up at 8am. The studios and most neighbouring properties also have very noisy dogs. This may be fine for some but is definitely NOT 'peaceful' accommodation as Olympic advertises

As other reviewers have said, Violatos Studios is very clean and staffed/owned by friendly and helpful people. (The beds were uncomfortable though.) The kitchenette was adequate for simple breakfasts/snacks. There was a kettle and 2 or 3 solid plate rings. The fridge in the Studio room was quiet which was a blessing during the night! We were glad of the standard fan but the room was still hot particularly at night. We got the building-site view from our balcony but could see hills to left and right. Agia Efimia is a lovely little place and nowhere is far from the sea. There is little to do other than sit and watch the boats go by (or sail in one). The beaches are just narrow strips which get very busy at weekends. The sea is clear and lovely to swim in. The pool at Makis Apartments (free to residents of Violatos Studios) is excellent - clean and clear with a poolside bar and changing facilities. I was disappointed to learn that Olympic Holidays does not pick up for trips from Agia Efimia especially as the local buses are infrequent. Car hire is available locally. I can recommend Pylaros Snack Bar on the front, opposite the small jetty. Whilst it doesn't have the same menu range as other nearby establishments, what it does have is excellent and the service and attention from Regina the owner is fantastic. If you want to practise some Greek then Regina will help you! She speaks very good English so conversation is not a problem.

I stayed here for 2 weeks in room 7 facing the front. Room was spotlessly clean thanks to Julia the maid. Hotel set 3 blocks back from the sea front and is only a 2 minute walk to the harbour and tavernas in the village. Makis swimming pool is a 10 minute walk up a gentle hill. The hotel is located in a residential street lined with beautiful trees and flowers and is away from the main road. The Violatos family were a lovely family and always helpful to me and my 3 year old daughter. I would definitely stay here again and can't wait to return. I'd also highly recommend Steki Taverna for the Greek Music nights 3 times a week. Not to be missed.

Hi, building work is intermittent but there are two large unfinished buildings at the back of the apartments which block out views. There are two floors, a lower and upper. I would go for an upper floor at the front of the apartment block which faces onto a quiet street. The beach is small shingle everywhere you go in this area. It is a lovely area btw.
