We stayed in room 2 with the heart shaped pool overnight and soaked several times in the hot springs in that tub. (I wish it was a regular sized hot tub instead of a heart. It is small). The room is clean. Bed was soft. Window air conditioner supplements room air but still was warm at bedtime. No ice access.
We did couples massage that was fabulous!
we came here for the first time about 2 years ago. you get to reserve 1 private room with soaking tub regardless of how many people in your group. so if you a single person, its still the same price for 2. each soak is drained after your one hour is up. my skin was very soft after ward and it was a relaxing hour. however, if you've been to other spas, in my observation, the grounds could be groomed a little bit better. I get that its in the middle of nowhere but for 50.00 plus (there was 4 of us so it was 70.00) for one hour soak, i'd love to see an effort to plant some beautiful floral color and keep the overgrowth at bay in some of the walk ways. I love that they offer spa services and walking into the office you are pleasingly awoke with that fragrance of lavender and eucalyptus. I have yet to take advantage of the other services but plan to return and do so. the views of the river are lovely while you soak and make for great pictures. across the street is the campground which I plan to reserve a cabin for 4 in the near future. the drive there is quite exhilirating if you are coming down the windy road side :D
We visited Hot Springs Resort on July 28th, and July 29th, 2019. We had friends staying in the campground area and we rented "The Dogwood" room for 2 nights. The room was comfortable but the mattress needs replaced. The staff did NOT clean or freshen the room during our stay.
We have a high end American sports car, all of their roads are gravel with pot holes or mud everywhere. Since our friends were camping we spent a lot of time in that area. Again, lots of gravel roads, lots of pot holes, and lots of mud.
We did not use the Mineral Water Hot Tubs so I can not comment. In conclusion I rate this place as AVERAGE.
We loved this place. I called a few weeks in advance and only could get the most basic tub, which was fine, so call early. We had a private wood enclosed space, open toward the river. Big hot tub basically. I was worried it would be too hot since the weather turned out to be warm, but it was really just right. There’s a bathroom and changing room in a nearby building. We both had massages after which were wonderful. I’m trying to remember my massage therapist’s name but it’s been a long few days, I think it was Lauren and she did a great job. Highly recommend.
Starting our trip on Tuesday and arriving at this resort on Wednesday evening, meant the this resort was a very welcomed sight! With my husband nothing is logical, so hopping on the BMW to take me to Hot Springs was his idea of a terrific adventure. We stayed in the Dogwood Room. So private, peaceful and walking along the river bank with the breeze blowing around us gave way to sweet conversations. The next day was my Spa Day. I had booked the Head to Toe, massage and facial. Ashley met me with a smile and listened to my request. While my husband conquered the curvy roads, Ashley conquered my tightness from riding 2 days and neck ache from the helmet. She then ended with a facial perfect for my skin type and my age. Walking out to a beautiful day, quenching my thirst with fresh spring water, I knew finding Hot Springs, NC was the perfect trip for me.
