Our family, 11from age 14 to 77, of us stayed at the house for a weekend.
We were wonderfully looked after, the best omelette for breakfast plus lots of toast, home made jams and juices and sauces as much as we needed.
A lovely dinner at night and after it Roberto, the owner/chef brought his guitar and sang for us.
The second breakfast was French crepes with cream, sauces and again different home made jams and toast.
It was a bit cool to swim but the table tennis table received a good work out.

It is a great place to relax.
At breakfast lots and lots of birds also arrived to be fed which was wonderful for our European visitor.
There is a large TV in the sitting room which also has comfy chairs, lots of books and games.
The rooms were nice and cosy and the chocolates at night on the pillows were appreciated also.
Caroline and Roberto are great hosts.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this B and B, and I just have to share!! This place is so serene and tranquil. It allows you to sit and breathe the fresh air while enjoying the comforts of feeling at home plus a bonus swim in the pool. The B and B owners Caroline and Robert are 2 of the most pleasant people you will come across. Breakfast - crepes, homemade jams and syrups bacon and tomatoes that were cooked to perfection. The beds were so comfortable, the shared lounge-room and kitchen were very clean, comfortable and homely. Even my dog enjoys staying there! Just a short drive to the theme parks and back into suburbia territory to the shops, yet with the feel of being in the country. This was the holiday I so desired. Having previously stayed in Surfers Paradise it was so noisy and busy that I decided this time I would try something different and this has now become my own little treasure - home away from home. Free internet was amazing, though I found I couldn't be bothered even using it, I much preferred to lay out on the lawn and bask in the sun. I even had a visit from a couple of friendly kangaroos!! If you truly want a relaxing holiday with or without kids you need to check this place out. I simply can't fault it. Thank you Caroline and Robert, on both occasions I have thoroughly enjoyed my holidays - and I've already booked my December holiday to come back again - I don't want to miss out. I look forward to seeing you both again on my return!! Merci!!

Thank you for your generous and encouraging Review, Kerry. I am so glad it has been such a tonic for you being here in the hills, with bushland surrounding us. We also look forward to your return visit...yet again! Such appreciative guests like you are truly worth having around. And MERCI to you as well! Warmest, Caroline

Stayed at Riviera B&B in July 2018, and we booked the entire bottom level (3 rooms). Our hosts Roberto and Stefano were just lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they made us all feel very welcome. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! (although Roberto would not disclose how he made his delicious omelette!) The rooms were clean, the grounds peaceful, and there is a spacious room that can be utilised by guests to watch tv, use the fridge, make a cup of coffee etc. We had three rooms downstairs, and the only negative feedback I could give was that we had to enter the area via someone's bedroom. This was not ideal, and the only alternative was to enter through the bathroom. Other than this, would highly recommend due to location and friendly welcome.

Thank you Sonia for all your positive input regarding what Roberto and Stephano were able to do for you during my hospital stay. Thank you for your thoughts regarding the bathroom/bedroom arrangement. I am sorry for any inconvenience experienced. I would like to mention that this was an exceptional situation that rarely occurs and only when it is a group of friends, as in your case or family members. Because of the Kokoda Challenge influx of guests, we tried to accommodate those who urgently needed accommodation near to the Event. This meant that the third room which usually serves as a sitting room became available as a bedroom. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to your return when we can provide you with accommodation more suited to your needs. Warm regards, Caroline

I was fortunate enough to get a room again at this fantastic B n B. My 4 dogs and I have stayed there multiple times and I couldn't be happier. I have spent over 2 months there in total and it feels like my second home. Caroline is the friendliest host and nothing is too much trouble for her. Her husband is a french chef and makes exquisite meals. I hope I get the opportunity to stay there again.

Never Again...
Pet Friendly? No at all, unless by Pet Friendly they mean, pets to be left out in the hallway or Bathroom and not allowed in the room which the Guest has paid for. Extra cost on top of the room to have a puppy stay too by the way (Goes on weight of dog lol). Motel? Seems more like a staying in a strangers house with them for a night. The biggest issue is, the Owner's 15 year old dog is stopped from coming down the internal stairs to look at you through the bedroom door by a broken wooden room divider, pot plant and a random book from the bookshelf beside! Its an eye-saw right outside the bedroom door, i might add. A sign stating you must take your shoes off before going in the room too. On top of all this, a shower that goes stone cold after about 2 minutes of turning the water on. There was also a big brown stain on the carpet, which they state is "Coffee", looks a bit more sinister than that to me... Before entering the room at all, my Partner and I were charged $150... Then to have a stay like this, was just aggravating! Do yourself a favour, and stay away from this house and find a proper motel

I am sorry Mahalia for what seems to be an unfortunate experience at our beautiful B&B. As you will see by so many positive reviews, we rarely receive such a review as yours. It may help to know that pet friendly accommodation has many facets according to each B&B. Yes, for puppies we do have an area in the bedroom hallway (tiled) for them so they do not have any accidents on the bedroom carpet. It is a matter of hygiene. True, there is a cost for guest dogs as per our booking.com information which unfortunately you had not seen. Guest dogs often require extra cleaning due to fur loss and other 'incidences'. I noted you chose to put your 7 month-old puppy in the bathroom. You had already provided your payment details for the room by booking through booking.com, so I do not understand why you were surprised by the amount. As you had booked a non dog-friendly room that had a shared bathroom, I upgraded you to a dog-friendly room with a private bathroom for an extra cost of $10 that you agreed to. Apologies that our room divider had lost a hinge which was only discovered that night. Our housekeeper had failed to mention it. As we have ducks and chooks free-ranging, asking guests to remove shoes is to help towards keeping the carpet from being spoilt from guests picking up what the poultry leave on the grass. Again, it is simply a matter of hygiene. It is a shame you did not let me know about the shower. This is the first time we have heard of it. We have attended to this by our own showering and asking past and current guests their experience with any cold water during showering. So far, nobody has had the same experience as you. I had apologised for the small coffee stain and am currently in the process of an insurance claim so I have no choice but to wait for this to be sorted. As you arrived quite late and had indicated you were going out, I did not want to take your time chatting as I normally might. I was wanting to respect your privacy as a young couple with plans for the night. I am sorry my good intentions were misunderstood. It is unfortunate you may find it difficult to find pet-friendly motels as they are few and far between here on the Coast.
