Loved our stay; although the property is for sale and in transition, we enjoyed our room and the beautiful home...a private balcony made the room extra special.
The hosts were awesome and helped us feel at home.

My friend & I stayed here for 1 very comfy night in The Martin Room! We loved sitting out on its veranda with wine that evening & our tea in the morning! Though not operating under a specific "inn" name, I found this place on Air BnB under the room names: The Bowman Rm, The Henreich Rm, The Martin Rm, The Presidential. There are 10 guestrms in all, I believe. There's no breakfast at this time & the pool was closed, but gorgeous rooms in a magnificent estate manor & coffee/tea were on offer. Lisa - who oversees operations, and Nancy - working tirelessly to restore the gardens to their former grandeur, saw to our every need and were lovely hosts. This stately home is on a quiet street steps from a walking trail & <100 yds from the heart and shops of St. Jacobs! (Tip to whoever purchases this gorgeous manor - it's screaming to become a destination spa!!!)

We stayed here one night in late fall. Rented the Presidential Suite, although we learned by poking through the inn that all of the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed. Still, the Presidential Suite was such a treat for our first time here. French country in design, large, with a very comfortable bed, and immaculately clean. Paul (the innkeeper) has evidently paid a lot of attention to detail with this inn. (Paul by the way was quite helpful with offering tips on good places to eat in town, etc.) The entire place felt like a country inn should feel - welcoming, charming, spacious and well-appointed. The whole place was very clean as well. On the main floor is not only a spacious dining room and living room, but also a nice-sized lounge with pool table and games. Breakfast was simple - just continental-type - which is a nice change from some of the heavy / overly sweet breakfasts you can be served by well-intentioned b&b owners. You can make your own coffee / tea any time, which was good for us early risers. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer when we can sit out on the gorgeous front porch and swim in the pool. And, St. Jacobs is hard to beat for a rural getaway - cute shops, good food and lots of outdoor trails. For us hard-working types, this was just the respite we needed! This inn is perfect ... we will be back.

It's a wonderful caslte , total 5 acre, including the fantastic garden , the forest, the pool, tennis court, elegant rooms, massage room, meeting room, delicious food and drink, warm service, great atmosphere , and located in the heart of the St Jacobs town, the price is reasonable , we have a very happy night there.

We had an absolutely awesome weekend at Evenhomle. From the uniques bedrooms, to the elegant dining room, to the spacious pool/bar room, everything was as close to perfect as you could ask. If you looking for a very unique experience in country hospitality, you really should visit Evenhome.
