Sadly stayed only 2 nights as here on business. The apartments are huge, well stocked and spotless, they even have the foxtel platinum package.i just could not believe how fantastic they are for the price. I will come back and stay on holiday. The apartments are 5 mins to a fantastic rsl club and near all restaurant. They are also aroubd the corner from a shopping mall housing a woolworths and a bws as well as other shops. Check in was efficient and very friendly and helpful. The gym and recreation room is great and the pool is heated. Totally recommend. As I say was sad so short and not there for leisure only !
Couldn't fault the place. Great location, kids loved it, biggest hotel room i have ever seen, just a huge place, TV was great, parking was brilliant, pool could have been warmer, but i am a bit old, kids still loved it.
Thank you all.
On arrival to our accommodation, we first found it hard to find somewhere to park to go into reception. There were either no visitors spots or they had a locked barrier on them. Apart from this small little hiccup at the start of our holiday - everything else was absolutely perfect!
On entering our apartment 505, everything was perfect. We had a 3 bedroom apartment (2 single beds, 1 double and 1 queen bed), which then opened out to an extremely spacious open living area with AMAZING views. Just beautiful views with huge balconies. Whether you are sitting on the couch watching TV with the beach views, standing in the kitchen with beach views, sitting at the dining table with beach views or out on the balcony with views everywhere - it’s just gorgeous!
The kitchen is really big and has everything you need even a full size fridge. Could possibly suggest having some plastic plates & glasses so when you go to the pool/bbq area, it’s a lot easier than carrying all the china stuff down & would be safer. Other than that we had an amazing time enjoying the bbq facilities, easy to use bbq for our superb fresh fish that we’d caught that day. Then after a beautiful dinner & swimming (pool was nice and warm), we finished off with a fun game of table tennis.
The resort was a 3 min walk to the beach, Woolies and restaurants & 5 min walk to the large shopping centre. Plus wasn’t very far from Mooloolaba with other great shops and restaurants. So central it was fantastic with plenty of great restaurants.
Our teenagers were happy as in our room our TV had Foxtel, Netflix, Stan, Youtube etc so was great at night to watch a movie etc.
The staff were lovely and extremely helpful with anything that we needed.
Thanks you for an amazing holiday and we were lucky enough that there was a carnival one day and that night they also had an amazing show of fireworks which we had the perfect view from our balcony.
As soon as we walked in we were pleasantly surprised at how new and modern this 3 bedroom apartment was.
There are a lot of holiday makers and residents in this resort.
Great spot of location , within walking distance to Ocean street (lots of food variety and markets on a Friday night), the Sunshine Plaza and the beach/canal.
The lady at the front desk is really lovely.
We were located at the end of the building block which helped to limit noise factor, the same probably wouldn’t be said if you were staying in the middle in front of the pool and BBQ area though.
Traffic from the plaza was minimal - again another surprise of a night time , in the morning though you do hear a lot of food trucks coming and going as it backs onto the Big Top centre / woolies.
In addition to this take note it’s a three hour parking limit, so if you have guests they do monitor the lot and will fine you.. it happened.
ALSO , unfortunately for us one of our cars passenger side mirror got smashed in on the Friday night, someone purposely took the backing off our brand new Colorado Ute (still absolutely livid!!!!)
We had only parked this car on Duporth Avenue right infront of the M1.
Although it’s not a reflection on the resort - it would had been really handy to know that the visitor parking can actually be unlocked by using your apartment key for the padlock on the bollards. If we had known this we would had parked the car inside and off the street (as the hotel allocated car park was taken)
So that dampened the weekend but thought it would be a good tip for everyone to know because you wouldn’t expect it to happen especially how the street is situated.
We stayed for 7 nights over Christmas. Check-in was effortless and very efficient. Our 3-bedroom apartment was very spacious with a large balcony overlooking the Maroochy River. The apartment had everything we needed for a family of 5 in the well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds in every room with on-suite in the main, 2 large comfy lounges, large dining tables (1 inside and 1 out on the balcony) and free WiFi. We also had 2 undercover car-parks allocated to our unit.
The complex has a large outside bbq and pool area with plenty of room and furniture.
The M1 Resort is close to a Woolworths supermarket and BWS liquor store, Cotton Tree beach is an easy 10 minutes’ walk away.
Duporth Avenue and Ocean Street only a five minutes’ walk away has a variety of restaurants and shops to choose from and Sunshine Plaza shopping centre is only a 10 minute walk.
Food tips: So many good choices close by but our picks were the Duporth Tavern and Hello Harry’s.
